Dr. Anya Mishuri of the Special Projects Institute seeks to unlock the secrets of 'true' rowa reproduction, a matter of which modern science is totally ignorant. Having successfully induced the evolution of the live genetic carriers within 'bug juice', and combined them with various laboratory assistants, she has finally been able to witness the process by which a true rowa egg is made. Nothing is allowed to go to waste, not even a subject's living mind. Stripped completely bare, the uninterrupted thread of conscious awareness transfers to the newly developing rowa as it grows. Exactly what physical form of creature will emerge from each egg is unknown, save that it will eventually develop into the sort of mature rowa who create and rule over their lesser rowaform servants.

Of course, one huge question remains unanswered. If all current true rowa are created from sapient beings, what manner of creature created the first? Does such a creature still exist? And if so, what role might it play in modern rowa society?

Dr. Mishuri would love to know... but even she has to admit that her curiosities regarding more intimate details of her work make the chance of expanding her studies in that direction quite unlikely.
