Rai gingerly lets her rump settle onto the bench as she watches her mitanni companion do the same. The cold surface of the glossy black biogel cushion sends a shudder down her spine and through her twitchy tail. She slowly slides her legs up, and then over the edge of the opening.

“Thirty seconds,” D’tash chuckles as she follows the tigress’ lead.

“Thirty seconds,” Rai responds, looking up at the clock on the wall. It’s hard for her not to notice that she and her companion have become the center of attention in the menagerie. The moment they’d set their naked asses on the cushions, an audience had begun to gather. Now, dozens of equally naked Gelarium guests were standing there watching, and from the expressions on many of their faces, not a few were clearly expecting more of a show than just a couple of girls dangling their legs over the edge and tempting fate.

All those looks of enthusiastic anticipation make Rai begin to feel very self-conscious. She began to fidget, swinging her legs and looking to the tree and those obsidian orbs that could, at any moment, lash out with their tentacles and snatch her by the ankles. She’d be melted away in a flash and her living mind trapped inside, to eventually be extracted and used for who knew what purpose. The idea had always been so abstract and fun to watch on video… but now that it was, literally, at her feet… she was starting to have second thoughts.

“Thirty seconds more?” D’tash inquires with a sly smile.

Rai looks up to the clock. Thirty seconds have already passed, and the orbs haven’t so much as wiggled. Buoyed by that false reassurance, she agrees. “Okay. Thirty more seconds.”

Again, Rai’s attention turns back to the tree. The orbs seem thoroughly disinclined to respond to their presence. She might well agree to thirty seconds more if her companion were to suggest it.

“You’re almost as brave as a mitanni,” D’tash notes, with a chuckle. “Well? Do we keep going? How about the first to get up decides for both?”

Rai nods. “Okay. First to get up.”

“And last to get up decides what we explore next, hmm?” D’tash inquires.

“Fair enough,” Rai agrees.

“Well then! The clock moves on,” D’tash laughs. “Let us now see who the braver woman is!”
