Empress Maya Sharie Feyla was born in the Imperial Palace on Feylinon 12.6.4385, and would ascend to the throne on the retirement of her mother, Empress Shia Mari Feyla on 27.4.4525. She wassucceeded by her eldest daughter, Morie Avaya Feyla on 17.9.4576.

The most notable acts of Empress Maya revolve around the conflict with the expansionist insectoid rowa. This conflict had been simmering long before the beginning of her reign, and would begin in earnest two decades before her ascension to the throne. The rowa were able to take control of two sparsely populated and quite indefensible frontier prefectures, Narri Threadand Alyn Rift, before their expansion came to a long pause. Lack of confidence in the ability to defend against a second attack, even in the more defensible prefectures now neighboring rowa space, led to a negotiated peace. This peace came with a shocking price, however, as Her Highness was obligated to offer herself to the rowa in exchange for their fealty to her eldest daughter.

On 17.9.4576, Empress Maya would be transformed into a rowa worm in the gardens of the Imperial Palace, before they eyes of her daughter and successor. As a result, the rowa territories became Imperial prefectures under rowa rule, and the threat of further forcible expansion on the part of the rowa was ended.
