I am of very mixed feelings about AI art. I could probably write thousands of words on my opinions both for and against it, in its current form and methods.

I do periodically dabble with a free (well, ad supported) low-res Stable Diffusion image generator. I've never posted any results online, and if I did, would never dare to claim them as my own work. I just typed in some words and it mangled them into something that sort of maybe resembled what I wanted. Every so often it did deliver something decent, though. So my question is...

Do you think it acceptable for me to post some of the results, by themselves or as part of things like a Fey'li Empire calendar, as purely extra posts for everyone, not tied to tiers or paid membership?

AI can be a wonderful tool to help us create things like art. I don't see why you should be afraid of using it, long as your open that this or that has been created with or assisted by an ai program. It's honestly up to you, but I wouldn't mind it in the slightest.

I'd probably recommend avoiding Gen AI -- there's still a massive stigma associated with it. I've seen at least one artist who experimented with AI art ages ago, and eventually turned against it fully, still be occasionally tarred with the "AI artist" brush.

I know it's a much bigger thing in the furry art community than elsewhere. There's a lot of strong feelings about art theft, and it doesn't help that the relative lack of training material tends to lead AIs to latch on to some very artist specific styles.
