Sorry Andrew, could you please help me to find right STLs to choose for my configuration? Ender 3 with BLV linear rail mod., Triangle Lab Dual Drive Extruder and Triangle Lab Dragon Hotend, dual 5015, dual fanduct, 12mm diam. capacitive bltouch, curved LED and cable tower. I hope to read you soon... i'm very anxious to mount my HMG7.3. Thank you

Andrew Soderberg

When you have a BLV linear rail mod on an Ender, from the Hero Me perspective it is now a BLV. So you want the BLV Gantry Adapter. The TriangleLab Dual Drive extruder is a clone of the Bondtech BMG, so you want the BMG mount. The TriangleLab Dragon hotend is a clone of the Phaetus Dragon, so you want the hotend mount for that. I am away from my office till later today. If you don’t find all the STLs you need, I can help then.

If I have an Ender 3 Neo (not v2), do I just follow the 3-Pro files structure and just add the CR-Touch mount?

Andrew Soderberg

That's a new one for me. I don't know what is different (if anything) from the Ender 3 or the Ender 3 V2 Neo. You will likely have to print both Gantry Adapters and test fit them. I will have to look for a STEP or STL of that X carriage. If it is not available, and you find there is a different mount position, then I will need calipered measurements of the layout of that X carriage and the center to center and center to two sides of each mount point. Here is and example of what I would need (if it comes to that). https://imgur.com/a/iNMw5XG Please let me know if one of the existing Gantry Adapters works so that I can update my docs and files. Thanks.

so can you share the tech drawing you have for you're Ender 3, Ender 3 Max and the v2? I can't image the being that much different, but I printed the gantry adapter you have in your zip file for the 3-Pro and don't see how it would attach. Are their install videos per model, maybe I am missing something

Andrew Soderberg

Jack, Here is an Imgur link to all my Ender 3 family x carriages and Hero Me Gen7.3 https://imgur.com/a/EXKufvq Gantry Adapters and how they mount. If you does not match any of these, then Creality has again changed what they are using mid-production cycle and I will need a photograph and calipered measurements (as described in my previous reply) in order to create a yet another Ender 3 something Gantry Adapter.

So I figured out which to use, based on the files you sent and some research I did…the Ender 3 v2 Neo and the Ender 3 Neo have the same gantry, the issue I am now having is that the hot end heat sync doesn’t fit in your base’ cavity. :( I knew this was going too easily.

Anonymous

The stock heat sync for the hotend is 37.95mm and my printed base has a cavity of 26.51mm

Andrew Soderberg

I am sorry, the Hero Me Gen7 does not support the stock hotend of the Ender 3 V2 Neo printer because the hotend heat sink, as you point out, is too wide. A Hero Me Gen7 upgrade on that printer model can only be used when choosing to switch to any of the 31 other hotends that are supported. The Ender 3 V2 Neo hotend is not listed in the hotend compatibility list that is included in the documentation. I am sorry that I did not specifically document a list of the very small subset of otherwise compatible 3D printer models where the stock hotend is not compatible. I will add this info to the Hero Me documentation. I will also better define the hotend 'Creality Stock (2 screw mount)' as the original found on other Creality printers like the Ender 3, Pro, V2, CR-10, CR-10S. I will also add that the max width of any hotend that could be supported in the Hero Me Gen7 as 26.5mm. I'm sorry that your time has been wasted if you don't intend to replace that hotend.

Andrew Soderberg

Both models have their own named Gantry Adapter STLs (even though the X carriages are otherwise identical) to make it easier for owners of each to easily find the one they need. Your hotend size issue is answered in your other post.
