GENERAL

The last two weeks have been a bit hectic, but we're still focused on trying to get Q:LHS v0.10 ready as soon as possible. We were hoping to release the next update by the end of this month (which could still happen if everything goes well), but realistically we'll be needing the first week of April to make sure everything is in place.

A WIP of Kaito was shared to patrons last week. Skin and hair tones of Kaito will be updated based on what you select during the character creation screen.

OUR FOCUS

We've been receiving messages over the last couple of months regarding the decision to focus entirely on Q:LHS and how some of you would rather we continued making the smaller Quickies instead. We'd just like to take this time to address the concerns and outline what our plan is moving forward.

Firstly, we'd like to thank our patrons for your support since we've started this Patreon roughly a year and a half ago. We're extremely grateful to be in the position we're in and don't take your support lightly. We try to involve our patrons in all our major decisions with this Patreon (via polls), which included the decision to focus entirely on Q:LHS. Not all of you liked this decision and we completely understand why you'd want to discontinue your patronage, but we do really appreciate the support you've given us in the past.

For us, Q:LHS is a much better way to develop the Quickie universe and provide a full experience for our patrons and fans. Q:LHS v0.10 has taken longer than we initially anticipated, but thanks to the extra time, we've managed to learn and build a base framework we're comfortable with. Builds taking longer than 2 months to develop is not ideal to us (and for our patrons) and we believe the work we've put into v0.10 will help future builds release within reasonable time-frames.

Q:LHS is an ambitiously large project (especially for a team of two), a game size we realize may not have been clear when the initial poll to decide whether we focus on Q:LHS was released. Due to this, we're thinking of releasing a patron poll after v0.10 to get updated feedback on the current state of the game (e.g. whether you like it as is, or scale back/simplify in scope) and what you'd prefer we do moving forward. (As a side note, we realize for an adult game, there isn't a lot of adult content in it yet. We have an h-scene planned for v0.11, but do also have another idea we're excited about (and believe you'll enjoy) to increase the amount of h-scenes in Q:LHS.)

Hopefully this helps explain why we're focusing on Q:LHS and gives some insight into what's in store soon. Feedback is extremely valuable to us (especially from our patrons!) and we do make an effort to read every comment and message we receive across all social platforms. More information on the patron poll and h-scene idea will be announced after the release of v0.10.

CONNOISSEUR SKETCH/POLL

After adding the weighted votes,  "Sara in nothing but long socks in The Pose" won by a landslide with 72% of the votes! We're aiming to release the sketch early next month.

Keep safe and have an amazing week!

I know you've received a lot of messages over not liking the change but please remember the majority of the community wanted this change and we understand that an initial product is delayed with the change. Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback! We do still understand the majority of the community did want this change and appreciate the support during the transition, but feel it would be nice to get some updated feedback on the state of the game after v0.10. The poll won't be designed to change our direction (unless there's a very clear "this sucks" response), but rather to understand what patrons think currently (a lot of patrons like contributing to polls rather than talking to us directly) and if there are any possible changes we can do to make things better. We are excited to share v0.10 with you all. There have been things we've picked up on during this update we feel could be improved already (both in game and out), but we'll share these ideas after the release.

While your smaller quickies were good, I'm all too eager to see what you do with this because I love your characters and writing! you've got my, and several other people's, support!
