Mikey is a sheltered young man who gets involved in a traffic accident that tragically claims his mother. Vulnerable and feeling lost Mikey is suddenly alone until Milena, his mother's old friend from college, is called and comes to get him.

From there Mikey has to cope with his recent loss and what that means for him in the future, he discovers Milena's surprising occupation and the two grow closer.
