Will there be a Nintendo Direct in February? That's what many of us are starting to wonder as we get to the end of January. It's typically been almost a sure thing that Nintendo will have a Direct in February, but this is shaping up to be anything but a typical year for them.

I feel that February is inevitable. But I don't think it's gonna be the Switch 2 blowout people expect, nor will it be the Switch 1 megashow with Prime 4 others want. I think it'll be akin to last year where we get some fun remakes and basic filler games until the summer, then in May/June the Switch 2 is announced and takes center stage, with some cross-platform games being announced that work on Switch just fine, but with better performance on Switch 2. ala MP4 and the inevitable november Pokemon game. Feb was also a great month last year due to GB NSO, so I expect Konami may throw out Turbografx stuff for NSO since M2 seems to be slowing down on the Genesis App. Then again, their Wii U porting partner D4 Enterprise is porting a bunch of PC88 games on Switch without NSO, so maybe they're too busy to port PCE/TG16 games again. Still, I want my Blazing Lazers on Switch.

We have enough games. Games could stop coming out right now, and a lot of us would still be all set for the rest of our lives.
