I saw it with my husband and three young kids, and we absolutely loved it. The Easter eggs and music throwbacks were amazing. The kids laughed out loud the whole time…the humor was perfect for them! I can’t wait to see it again.

The movie was the perfect jumping off point for the future of Nintendo and their movies. I was thrilled with how faithful they were to the history of Mario while not shying away from some new ideas. I loved the way they showcased Mario’s determination, with a standout being the obstacle course. Something about a beautifully animated Mario jumping and flipping through the air resonated with my inner child. The music was just as stellar as the animation. I found myself smiling throughout the whole movie as I noticed the small riffs and melodies of games past. I watched the movie a second time with my younger siblings and they all had a blast! The youngest proclaimed it was “the best movie I’ve ever seen” as he ran around the house singing the superstar theme. I can’t wait to see what Nintendo has in store for us next!
