For our next Super Kit & Krysta 64 video, we're going to hit up a few local retro game stores, but we need some help with our shopping list. Leave a comment here and let us know if there's anything in particular we should look out for. We'll be featuring some of your comments in the video, so let us know what we should try to find and buy!

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars! It's an SNES gem!

CrimKat

Try to find a copy of Zelda Collector’s Edition for GameCube! Always a good find but not super common either

Chi Wright

Definitely wacky (preferably unlicensed) accessories! I know (because we have them) that some company made an arcade pad and a space ship steering wheel for the NES.

Louisa Martin

kirby return to dreamland deluxe

tuskoub

Take note of how outlandish the prices on every single mainline Pokémon game is. For a serious hunt, either of the GBA Fire Emblem games, Xenosaga Episode 1, or Dragon Quest VIII, or The Last Story would be some fun RPGs to find

TreJowy

Would love to see how you both visit/revisit the Virtual Boy! Might be pricey, though; authentic gaming memories don't come cheap these days. 😢

CeruleanDragon

Would love to see if there's any games or hardware beyond the "main" consoles each generation. So, basically anything that's Nintendo/Sega/Sony/Microsoft. Stuff like the WonderSwan, NeoGeo, Atari Jaguar, etc. Always interesting to learn more about consoles that never stood a chance against the big players since it's something we really don't see anymore! Would also be cool to see if there's anything VirtualBoy related, even if that's still technically Nintendo, just because it was so niche and weird and disliked.

Prodi-Jake

Let's see some of the forgotten Nintendo system accessories like the e-Reader, Super Game Boy, and the GCN LAN Adapter! I always dreamed as a kid of playing 8 player Mario Kart Double Dash but never knew how to get the adapter to play it.

Rivven

Mischief Makers for N64. I freakin adore this game, in part because it is so very bizarre! Definitely feels like an underrated gem to me

AleAlejandro

Games from across any system where you can have a Retro BOTY competition (you know, games that have that certain Triple AAA-ness quality to them 😅)

Maddog5981

Eternal Darkness and Wario World for GameCube!

Blazed & Enthused

If you can get your hands on the elusive Intelligent Qube for PlayStation...

Christian S

I'd love to see you mess with a Game.com if there's one available for a decent price! Otherwise, covering third party controllers might be a hoot.

Gartooth

Find an imported game from Japan!

Shinx

The GBA Fire Emblem games!

PandaBuns

You guys should do this when you're able to go back to Japan! They have tons of retro game shops and they're usually in good condition. In any case I third Rivven's suggestion for Mischief Makers, or perhaps even the 'much loved ' 😏 Quest 64.

VideoGameStupid

See if you can find Illbleed on Dreamcast or Haunting Ground on PS2. Those games are so expensive online. Thankfully I got them when they were still cheap.

nickc122

I let some guy in high school borrow my copy and never got it back. 🤦‍♂️

CrimKat

Similar thing happened to me with a friend in middle school. Thankfully I found a copy and bought it later on

BadMoonArisin

N64 - Goemon's Great Adventure Aerogauge SNES - Super Bonk Super Adventure Island 2 Any Power Rangers title NES - Little Nemo American Gladiators

John Friscia

It's hard to pick out great retro games that haven't gotten really expensive! Maybe try to find Xenosaga Episode I on PS2!

Paul Gale Network

As a piece of history, even if it just sits in the background on your shelf…how about a Virtual Boy or a Nintendo 64 Disk Drive to sit underneath your N64!?

Paul Gale Network

I always thought that the silver and black Millennium 2000 Nintendo 64 controller from Nintendo Power looked gorgeous. If you spot one of those in the wild, I think it would be worth getting!

ElitePeach

Super Princess Peach 😂

Mark Cruz

Sonic 64! Just kidding Hmm I think you should get games no one knows about and play them

Michael Nichols

Kit and Krysta please try to find Panzer Dragoon for Sega Saturn or if that isn’t possible Panzer Dragoon Orta for the xbox!

Brustache

Drill Dozer for the GBA! Another game developed by GameFreak that isn't Pokemon. The cartridge is special in that it has built-in rumble! Some old traditional Game & Watch stuff would be pretty cool as well!

RobotJack11

I absolutely love this idea, Kit and Krysta! When GameStop used to carry SNES games, my friends and I had a blast selecting entirely random Super Nintendo games we had no knowledge of and spend the weekend playing through them, sometimes hitting utter gems (like 'Secret of Mana') and at other times less-favorable content ('Batman Forever'). . .I'd love to see you two do something of the same, a bit of "Super Nintendo Roulette"!!

Kevin Delane

Gameboy Micro faceplates. Particularly the famicom plate or the famicom Micro.

Brustache

I own a Japanese Game Boy Micro that is the Famicom edition, it's so nice!

Adrian

Myst the adventure puzzle game. Really interesting game when it first came out. I liked unraveling the backstory as you progressed in the game. Also check out Lightning Force Quest for the Darkstar. Really enjoyed that game on the Sega. Just trying to get all the power ups and trying to survive waves of enemies was really fun!

Embrace_the_Jank

Ninja 5.0 for the GBA...killer Konami game

WhoIsBowserJrsMom

Mario Golf Toadstool Tour for the Cube,

Mboss8

Gex

Mr. Rogers

I would say be on the lookout for Playstation Vita Games. It's the Nintendo Switch before the Nintendo Switch.

Toadette4X

Maybe you two could look into Gamecube consoles and/or Gamecube games?

Shareef Jackson

My brother and I loved a good caveman game back in the 90s. Joe and Mac was the best - co-op and great art style music. Chuck Rock was ok as well, but no co-op.

zroid

Find an imported copy of Mother 3 😏

Rivven

Also for N64: Body Harvest! It's a time-traveling alien-invasion game. A bit janky (okay... a *lot* janky), but still a really fun game! Don't hesitate to use cheats!

Rivven

Important note, re: Mischief Makers. If you play that on original hardware, keep in mind that it controls with the D-PAD, and NOT with the control stick!

vgmlife

Rather than specific titles, I have a few suggestions for types of items: 1. A game that you rented often, but never owned. 2. A game magazine that you owned growing up. 3. A game that Kit worked on prior to being at Nintendo. 4. A game that Krysta worked on prior to Kit being at Nintendo. 5. A game that you both worked on together. 6. An import game. 7. A game that has never been released on any Virtual Console equivalent. 8. A game based on a movie license that Kit has seen. 9. A movie license game that you both agree is good. 10. A game for a system that neither of you ever owned.

Jordan Collett

Super Mario RPG legend of the seven stars

Bryan

Check to see if they have any special edition console or handheld?
