Game #102 Mistward is out now!

"Mistward is a survival game where you get washed ashore on a desolate island, enshrouded in a mysterious mist.

You can keep the mist at bay by building fires and other light sources. Gather resources to keep the fires lit, build constructions and houses for villagers that you can command do to all the heavy lifting.

I worked on the game for a very long time, as the core gameplay changed significantly multiple times. In the end, it became a very different game than how it started out.
It was really fun to take some more time to make a village builder. I have made them before (like Sproots or Sunset Kingdom) but I always struggle with the development time, as village builders tend to have many systems that need to be made.

The game is also on early access, which means I will be updating the game for the next few months! Expect to see balance changes and more content in the future."

Excited to try this game! It is downloadable on Mac, but when I start it I get an error saying: "An error occurred while updating Mistward (missing executable): /Users/timon/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Mistward/mistward.exe". Will there be Mac support in the future perhaps? :)

very cool game! I've been playing it for hours now, building up an economy, trying to get those beacons up! Two questions I have: could it be possible there's a softlock for research? In my first playthrough I seemed to get stuck because I used all of the paper on the island, without researching the granary, making it impossible to make more paper and progress.
