Hi Everybody,

We'd like to ask for your input on the behind the scenes videos and what kind of content you'd like to see from here on out.

If you have any specific requests for a video topic, please let us know in the comments.

Thanks!

Personally, I'd expect them as part of your daily routine shake. As long as those vids distract you from work from time to time (that's important) and keep you happy, whatever it be: IRL, devlogs, TechDevs, then DO IT! :)

I would like to get a video with ideas that didn’t made it/ didn’t work out.

Anonymous

all of them?

Maestro Pivetta

You are already making games, I follow you on twitter, and for me you could even just send videos of you reviewing whatever you found on the floor walking the street. Just have fun <3

I'd like to see the process, from the idea to the complete product. + IRL stuff

personally i like the weekly wrap up posts where we get some info about upcoming games. maybe that could work in a short video format?

Ivo Boot

Wouldn't that just make you sad, if there was a great idea there that didn't work out?

Ivo Boot

I wouldn't mind any of these three options, but speaking on the topic of input from your customers; would you be open to a way for patrons to help decide on certain aspects of the development of a game? Take this in the broadest sense possible.

I want them all.

How your lives changed after Stacklands 💰💰💰

Hugo

I'd like to see Unity related tech development videos (Gamemaker Studio is slowly dying) thx!

Anonymous

would love to see the initial planning and ideation of a game and how that is brought to life!

Brianna Allen

I would argue that Unity is also dying with the news that hit last week... It's what the dev makes of it.

Hugo

Good point Brianna, the IronSource merger is scary.

I would love to see some tutorials for making our own games (or even Stacklands modding tutorials would be fun)

Anonymous

I liked the stacklands devlog stuff

Birmingham

Can we really only pick one?

Ian

Would love some tutorials on animation. How you guys achieve walking and menu animations?

Unity has always had an ads ecosystem, they now have a larger footprint which means more money for mobile developers and thus more money to invest in the company and thus features for us developers. 60 seconds of researching beyond the "malware" click bait titles proves ironsource installer software was abused by non-related entities. Black hats just moved on to other attack vectors once ironsource shutdown that tool.

6000+ Unity employees aren't just abandoning their commitment to build impactful real-time 3D engine tools and cloud services just because the c-suite made a business decision to improve market share through their primary revenue generator. M&A is a common business practice, if you don't see it happening THAT is scary.

Anonymous

Real-time 3D engines are just a tool, use whatever you need to get the job done. If Godot does that best for you, go for it. Some people invest their careers and businesses in specific tools. Why would anyone just jump ship when nothing has materially changed in Unity's engine and roadmap? I can see hobbyists making some decision out of disgruntlement during bad PR, but anyone running an actual business... it's bad advice.

Hugo

Well at this point, Unity probably is too big to fail.
