Luckitown is a turn based tower defense mixed with Yahtzee.
You throw dice each turn and build all kinds of buildings from castles to ballistas using different combinations that you get from the dice.
Unlock new dice types that give different resources, strategize your layout against different enemies and bosses and decide whether you spend the dice that you have, or hold them like in Yahtzee and save them to build more intricate defenses!
We became obsessed with Yahtzee one time when we flew to San Francisco for the Game Developers Conference where we played Yahtzee for hours straight during the flight on a little screen placed in the back of the seat in front of us.

I've always wanted to make a game incorporating those mechanics and I think that itch has now been sufficiently scratched!
Have fun, and I look forward to seeing the cool strategies you will come up with!

I haven't gotten to the winter boss yet but had a lot of fun already. What's the rule on where the obstacles appear when a boss dies? Because after the plant boss in particular, there were weeds everywhere and I never really could get rid of all of them. So I'm wondering if I could have done something better

it’s random. the idea was that it becomes a bit more of an actual problem during later stages of the game, but i think there is a minor bug that causes autumn to spawn more leaves than i wanted.

Hi, when I try to open the game on Mac I get '"Luckitown.app" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Bin.' Any advice? I'm using MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 on a Macbook Air 2018.

This happens because OSX puts the game into quarantine. Use this guide to lift the quarantine and play the game: https://help.yoyogames.com/hc/en-us/articles/216753558

This might be one of my favorite games you guys have made, simply because it's getting my designer brain going again. I've been really stagnating on board game design for the past year or so and seeing you use the Yahtzee mechanic like this is really stimulating me and reinvigorating some old shelved ideas I've had. Damn fine work!

Crazy that we're supposed to get a second game after this

Thank you, that solved it. Now in the game I am noticing that my cursor's vertical position doesn't quite line up with what it's pointing at in the game, as if the y-coordinate is stretched by 10% or so away from the middle. So for the things at the top I have to point the cursor a bit down and for the things at the bottom a bit up. This happens in fullscreen as well as windowed mode. The game is still playable but would be nice to have a fix!
