Ginseng Hero is an action-adventure game about bugs surviving in a miniature world. You play as a beetle that goes on a trip to find a cure for a loved one.

The setting is inspired by my favourite animated film: “A Bug’s Life”, I thought it would be fun to make a game in which the player feels really tiny!

I think the most fun thing about Ginseng Hero is the challenging physics-based combat system, and the funny procedural animations! The game resolves around exploring new areas, talking to goofy characters, and defeating boss enemies. A lot of design choices were influenced by the “Way of the Samurai“ game series.
