Always wondered why Microsoft doesn't just call up Hideo Kojima and say "Get the band back together and make us that Silent Hill game, we'll give you a bunch of cash and just call it something different" Also, unrelated, but do you have a Letterboxd account Brandon? You seem to have some good suggestions for horror cinema! If you don't want to share that account then that's cool but I figured I'd ask!

Off topic but I'm curious what Tim thinks of the new Omega Strikers game, first thing I thought of when I saw it was Videoball.

(brandon:) people often ask me this but I do not! maybe one of these days. I just can't imagine having the time to do anything other than work and consumer media (relax). letterboxd stuff feels like work, though I guess it's fun for somebody!

I don't think before I speak sometimes. That wasn't a nice thing to say and I guess I only meant to point out their similarities, but in doing so, it totally sounds like a dig. I'm sorry Tim. I think you're great. Thank you Brandon for responding, I'm a klutz. I also think you're great. <3

Another outstanding episode, great work everyone Really needed a good laugh this week, and this episode was full of great discussions and moments.

Great episode - have really been enjoying a wealth of riches lately. And wow thank you for taking the time and effort saving ep 284! That was an amazing listen. Tim: listen to ep283 with the Necrosoft girls making -a million- sex jokes. It’s ok to enjoy things! Playboy existing is not the end of the world, and didn’t need a 5 minute condescending diatribe. Interesting how women were so open about enjoying their sexuality in 283 - but the all male panel in this episode got somewhat flummoxed by the mere mention of playboy

(brandon:) oh, no worries! You're fine, lots of folks are curious, and my "I'm afraid to ask" thing was mostly a joke! Definitely didn't sound like a dig and I certainly see why people are asking. And also don't worry because Tim won't see this comment anyway ha ha.

(brandon:) I don't recall the diatribe but the issue with playboy isn't its existence, it's the implied nature of these characters - obviously they can't consent to being in the magazine because they're not real, which kind of makes me feel some weird feelings about the rights of digital IP? and the only reason they're in there is because a company paid for them to be, regardless of what their character is actually like, so it's just kind of a gross way for it to happen. Women being in playboy is totally fine, is a choice, etc - but for these characters it's a cynical-feeling marketing ploy, and that's the stuff that makes us feel weird about it. (or me, anyway!!)

Jane

“Good answer!” Yeah I can definitely see your point. Tim could’ve verbalized that, but instead got really pouty about it and basically refused to even guess / address it. Thanks for the reply! Keep up the great work
