Tim’s heavily distorted voice freaked me out a bit. Took me until he started talking about buffets to be totally sure that it was him and not Jeff speaking in a slightly different register for some reason.

I definitely hear what you’re talking about, yeah. Tim recorded this episode in a hotel room and switched mics about halfway through. His local recording dropped out pretty early as well, so the audio you’re hearing is jammed through the same AI upscaling thing as the now-infamous DICE episode. apologies for the wonkiness lately, we’re always trying to sound better!!

I'm tryin' to correlate that ranking question with the gameplay they'd represent. What genre of game is the essence of a "healer", for example, and that would help decide what is the most fun to play as, in some roundabout way. The hope would be, based on your ranking of these games, you'd know what class you'd prefer to play as in a tabletop game. 1. DPS/"Striker" style games (do big damage as a fragile character) = Fighting Games (specifically DmC, Bayonetta, etc.) 2. Healer style games (manage your team, strategize) = Turn based RPG's 3. Tank Style games = Kinda lost. The appeal of a tank game would be one that's enjoyable to endure or persevere through, or hit a high level of. Rouge likes? Souls likes? Tetris?

Such a fun episode! I've enjoyed the variety of unique episodes lately, but good to have a return to the regular format. Jeff was a fun guest to have join the podcast! The discussion around chatgpt and violence island were so much fun

(brandon: try healer only lives twice! it's cool. As for tank, I think rhythm game is the genre.
