I don't know if he was having a fun one, but I'm intrigued that Fumito Ueda named that first Dying Light his game of the year in 2015.

Welp, Sony actually is buying Bungie now...

The Color Wheel is a good post-mumblecore film. I think Tim, at least, might like Alex Ross Perry’s films lol.

I would also recommend the films of Andrew Bujalski. They’re the two genuinely good mumblecore associated filmmakers. As with any genre or movement, much of it is awful, but there are several great artists. It’s where Greta Gerwig got her start, too, fwiw.

Wow you guys were right about Sony buying Bungie. 😦 congrats

(brandon:) maaaaybe I'll try it but descriptions of the genres tenets did not particularly engage me.

brandon and jaffe’s one-two of lapsed jokes was real classic

I'm not fully endorsing mumblecore just yet, but I would hightly recommend Andrew Bujalski 2013 film COMPUTER CHESS. It features many obscure vintage computers & mainframe hardware that seem to fit perfetly into this lo-fi black and white existential setting. I think it might have even been shot using vintage video gear too. https://youtu.be/vnoHSnJsy6Q

Mumblecore sounds like every Zach Braff movie ever.
