Are YOU excited about Succession? Hear the panel discuss it for several weeks in a row! Also featured: celebrity sightings, Star Wars discussion, acquiring car sickness, Cohen Brothers comedy, and power recliners.

A SMALL DESCRIPTION OF EPISODES PULLED FROM:

  • (Ep. 212) Pre-show. Brandon is buying Jump Force only because it’s going to be delisted. Tim tells stories about his Kotaku videos, and knows the difference between Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Professional. Frank sounds better. Helpful computer tips are shared.
  • (Ep. 213) Pre-show. Tim reveals more details about his Minnesota mansion and dives into last night’s Succession. Brandon can’t imagine what would make him watch that show. The idea of a Succession bonus episode is discussed.
  • (Ep. 213) Mid-show technical difficulty. Frank drops out, so Tim takes the opportunity to discuss his network storage setup, and last night’s Succession. Jaffe talks about The Jar Jar Trilogy. Star Wars opinions are delivered.
  • (Ep. 213) (Content warning: pretty gross car sickness story) Extended break. Tim has advice for young’uns, and has been going to the movie theater. Brandon shares a story about car sickness and another one about the soundtrack of O Brother Where Art Thou. Celebrity sightings are discussed and compared.
  • (Ep. 214) Pre-show. A Starbucks unionized! Fuck Kellogs (UPDATE: strike has finished, congratulations to Kellogg’s workers!!) Tim’s goblin hole requires assistance, but he has power recliners so it’s not all bad. Everything you’ve heard about New York apartment building pettiness is true. Jaffe tries making a Succession Friend.

Jokes aside, maybe living near Minneapolis wouldn't be so bad! Prince always said that he enjoyed keeping roots in MN because "the cold keeps the bad people away."

Hello. I love this podcast a lot. HOWEVER, Brandon's voice is at an ungodly level in the first segment, almost as if he was clipping the mic for comedic effect. The problem does not seem to exist after the first segment. Love you guys.

hey, Esper here! that's definitely a known bug, so to speak. around that time brandon's recording setup was changing, and I kinda had to blow it out levels wise to be at a listenable volume at all. that's the danger of these bonus episodes unfortunately; since it's not necessarily Show Material, the audio quality can be a little tougher to compensate for. thanks for the heads up though, i'm always trying to make things sound better!

Thanks, Esper, and it's all good. I was listening using my Bose speaker, and suddenly Brandon was like the voice of god, so figured to speak up for anyone listening on headphones.

(brandon: allison krauss is definitely a person I've seen a bunch of times! when she did a thing with robert plant I was quite surprised - but they came together with one particularly good song! it's this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eG_rArV84iY )

I walked onto a movie set (nobody cared that I didn't belong there, lol), sat down and had small-talk with Jeffery Jones (the principal from Ferris Bueller) for 5 minutes. Learned later about his crimes, but we had a normal human conversation at the time.
