I've tweeted at Ed Boon a several times to hire me to direct a soulslike game starring Scorpion. I guess he doesn't want to make another couple million dollars? Has anyone played the Krypt mode in MK11? It's essentially a proof-of-concept for a new MK Mythologies game using soulslike principles.

(brandon:) I haven't, but I am intrigued. I've kind of avoided the new MKs because of all the "realistic" fatalities kind of grossing me out.

Yeah, it's pretty cool, not often you see what is basically an entire game baked-in to another game that's this fleshed out and stuff. Check it out, it's got some weirdness to it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uS4qNMXeK2Y

Brandon, thanks for coming up with the “free game” question! I kept wondering that myself since its release. I found Christine’s explanation absolutely solid as well as your worries justified so.. good luck with your next game!

(brandon:) I'm still worried about it!! it's a tough world out there... but there are also a lot of other free games coming out so I'm not sure it differentiates you enough. We shall see!
