Great episode! I'm going to save the discussion for the forum page but I'm just posting to say this was the episode that reminded me to play Gunhouse, it rules!

Yeah great ep, Liz rules. Gotta say I'm with Jaffe and Esper on the whole play-Nier-on-easy-if-you-want-but-don't-just-watch-the-endings-on-youtube thing. There's an alternate universe in which Frank decided to devote a little more time and effort to that game and found himself much more engaged and attached to the characters! But as I am not a Gamer-type gamer I won't take his opinion as a personal insult.

(brandon speaking:) It could also be argued that the characters not capturing him is a failure ("failure") of the game itself - I personally was more engaged by the world, vibe, and environment (sub-characters I guess) and I think that just doesn't quite do it for a lot of people.

(P.S. I also agree that it's better to actually play through the game and see the endings yourself. I'm playing on normal and really don't think it's difficult as a game at all, especially with the new battle mechanics (which I like less))

i always thought a racing game would make a good "shuffler" - every time you cross the lap line it warps you to a new course. i first thought of this when playing the zone endurance mode on wipeout, but any series could do it. it's analogous i suppose to the "stage shuffle" thing in smash bros ultimate

Lids! Heck yeah!

My Still-Sporting-a-Trump-Bumpersticker parents definitely would not respond to the withholding visits method. I seem to remember as a child my mom would get very upset at anti-vax people (and they would also make fun of people who held onto bumper stickers of failed political candidates)! Dont know what changed and I don't know where the line is as far as completely disregarding any kind of truth. My one living grandparent is vaccinated though!

Dang, that's a rough one! It's tough to know what to do. I've got left wing parents who also go in for conspiracies which is confusing in its own way. (~Brandon)
