Brandon needs to watch the anime log horizon. It is exactly the type of isekai He’s looking for. There’s a multi episode arc of making digital food Actually taste like real world food (because npcs have no concept of taste) in the resulting economic upheaval of the endgame world as a result

(brandon:) I've seen almost two seasons. I like the idea of them learning about the rules of the world but they don't spend enough time doing that in my opinion and a lot of time with more annoying characters. also every female child main character that appears is commented upon as "hot" when they arrive and they then become a romance option for the main character who is 2x their height. I stopped due to a combo of being grossed out (which I was kind of trying to ignore for a while) and bored once they got to the large scale battles, it just didn't give me much. sorry!! my rules for anime in general are: - sexytimes are fine but they can't be gross, exploitative, or too stupid for too long or I'm out (this kills 90% of anime) - no frequent eating sounds or talking with mouth full - if possible, no humans doing animal sounds with regularity, it sounds too stupid - at least one main character has to be likeable - no "hanging misunderstanding"-based plots (this is why I quit uncle from another world, it's literally all people only thinking things to themselves and never saying them. also why I quit spy x family. just talk to each other!! help each other out!) incidentally I am totally fine with Prison School. that's a sexytimes anime where everyone's in on it. It's gross, but the characters are all in on the grossness. nobody is ignoring someone being gross and being like "that's just how they are!" they're all embracing it collectively as a S&M polycule lol.

My wife and I just happened to start playing that Rayearth game over the weekend! It’s lovely.
