Informal. Unprofessional. More candid than ever before. I've recorded a vlog!

Releasing an such an unpolished and unrehearsed video is a little out of my comfort zone, but I'm sure it'll become more natural with practice. I may start incorporating patron Q&As in future vlogs - and I may experiment with alternate sound recording setups (my current cam has no external mic support).

Anyway, it's over an hour of me talking about stuff whilst drinking beer - you guys like that, right?

I got just a few minutes in, stopped, and bumped it to 5$. This is awesome.

Given how slow I drink alcohol, if this were me with that bottle, this video would have lasted... about a week.

This is beautiful, and you are beautiful, and everything involved in this is beautiful.

Just wanted to let you know you're doing an amazing job! Your content is by far some of the best youtube has to offer, and you deserve every patreon cent you earn. Here's to Ahoy! Cheers mate.

This video brings back memories of Drinks Ahoy, I'm glad to have it back, even in this informal form.

This video brought me back to mid-late 2000s YouTube in a good way. It's cool to just hear you shoot the shit, I can't wait to see more Ahoy vids and vlogs.

Very happy to support you. I've been watching your content since 2010 and it's great to finally be able to give something back. You are the John Peel of gaming! Enjoy the beer :-)

I've enjoyed this one a lot, thank you Stu. About the inability to use your Podcaster with this camera - couldn't you record audio at the same time and synchronize it later or did you not want to have the mic in front of you?

Anonymous

I love your content and would happily support you for as long as you make content, keep it up Stu!

Jazz Jackrabbit

Alcohol is one of the few things we get right in America, we use metric for the most part.

So THAT'S what you look like

I know this vlog is 4 years old, but I am catching up with this, haha. Speaking of the cards you use for video structure, have you ever heard of Scrivener? It has a very cool interface that implements cards in a corkboard in order to organize story/plots/points. You can also create folders and documents, and link them to the cards. It's a fun software, I recommend it.
