Fuck… these…. DAMN… things…

He’d repeated the phrase more than a dozen times since he woke up in this place…

It was dark, dismal… and grey. Smelled a bit like a basement, but there was a sweetness to the damp aroma hanging in the air, which brought him a sense of comfort that betrayed his instinct.

Last time he’d partake in a stray donut… even if it WAS one of hers.

Flair’d been awake for hours, picking and clawing at these damned chains like an animal in a cage. Very rarely had he ever found himself in handcuffs, and he’d memorized the sequence to pick his own and many others more than enough times to slip out when he had.

But these fuckers mocked him with their rattling and cutesy fuzz. They wouldn’t give.

The charcoal lynx sneered at the fuzzy trinket gripping his wrists and shook off the sense of unease trickling up his backside. He was nearly naked… stripped down to his boxers-- no doubt to remove whatever threats he kept tucked away in his utility belt. He was unarmed and bound… Vulnerable.

He hadn’t felt trapped like this in a while. It was… uncomfortably familiar.

“Oh, you’re awake…”

His single ear tuft twitched at the sound of that melodic voice and all at once the deep growling on his taut lips silenced itself.

It was her…

She was butter, she’d free him. He thought, licking his lips as more of that candied smell wafted in after her. Savoring the scent, he eyed the delicate fabric clinging to her like a candy wrapper and felt something in his lower half surge to life…

Ohhh, this was her doing….

Amelia’s emerald eyes seemed to glow as they locked onto her captive. A wicked smile teased at her full glossy lips and she made her slow approach, tiptoeing on the stony cement of the Sweet Soiree’s underground pantry as if floating.

Close enough to loom over her boyfriend, she watched his nose eagerly tremble in her presence and her smile spread.

“Y’know I’ve been lookin’ for you.”

Her voice was as upbeat as ever and tickled the hybrid’s ears like a song laced with just the faintest hint of venom.

“Where’d you get off to for so long, huh?” Amelia asked rhetorically. “Y’know I had to close down the shop and everything to hunt you down. I was so worried, I spent all week looking for you, Officer… and you wanna know what I found?”

Flair could sense something was amiss, but the juxtaposition of the way she spoke, what she said, and the way she looked confused him. He bit his lip and smiled bashfully…

His smile always got him out of trouble.

“Hehehe oooohh…”

However, the hedgehog’s giggling forced the fur on his back to bristle.

“You are soooo cute!” Amelia mused. She lowered herself on hands and knees and closed the gap between them with a slow, seductive crawl. Her eyes seemed to glow even brighter this close, radiating a hypnotic pull that demanded his gaze and yanked him to attention. He shifted disagreeably as his body responded to her nearness.

Amelia took notice of his tenting boxers and continued her monologue.

“Too bad that smile can’t get you outta this one… Thermo.”

Thermo?!

She’d never called him that before.

“I found all your little gadgets and gizmos. Found your ID too. Tucked away in the patrol car that I had to track across 3 cities-- like you were hiding them from me… trying to keep me guessing.” Amelia rolled her shoulders and narrowed her eyes at him. She allowed her hand to graze the growing lump between his legs and dragged her index finger up until her claw parted his chest. Then she stabbed him with it. Hard.

Hard enough to force him to flinch against her prodding manicure and stop a rebuttal. It stung, but he knew from their bedroom antics that she could have gone deeper. She didn’t.

“At first I thought you were trying to hurt me….”

Amelia bared her tiny fangs and twisted her fingertip, letting her words hang in the air. “...but then I thought about it. You probably could have if you wanted.”

The lace cradling Amelia’s breasts heaved as she inhaled and sighed. It almost felt as though she were purposely forcing him to stare there, and Flair had to ignore the bait… He was already trapped.

“You’re so nice to me, Thermo. But I’ve seen the things you do when you think you’re by yourself.”

She stopped twisting.

“I remember the night we met. I remember how the guys harassing my shop suddenly stopped coming by…” Her speared tail began to sway.

“You can’t run from that. And you certainly can’t hide from me… Lover.”

Flair’s whiskers became as erect as the rest of him when the pink creature gently removed the last bit of his clothing. He was prepared to kick her had she wanted to maim him. His claws unsheathed at the notion. He expected her to.

But she didn’t…

He suddenly felt at ease. A warmth flooded his senses and the gray drabness of the basement seemed to brighten, disappearing completely until only pretty green eyes remained.

“No more secrets.” She purred. “I love you, Thermo… and if you love me, you’ll accept that we’re meant to be true to each other. Fate brought us together. Forever. For better or worse, good or bad… till death do us part.”

Flair could feel the rumbling of a purr on his chest. His concern became contentment and a smile split his muzzle. He spread his legs inviting her touch.

“...Till death do us part, Officer.” She repeats, allowing her finger to slowly trail south…
