A note from the creator:

Michi is the sole inheritor of Jounetsukan-Ryu, a style of martial arts created by her father who was lost in an earthquake along with her mother. The style is a blend of Chun-nese methods of hand to hand combat, with the signature trump card if utilizing one's own sense of passion and fighting spirit as a conductor to administrate and regulate one's inherent ki, or chaos energy. Her greatest desire is to protect and represent this style as it defines her identity and serves as her greatest connection to her severed past.

Her father was a simple and even jolly man with great control over his emotions while retaining his passion. However, Michi struggles greatly with maintaining a sense of calm, and tapping into that sixth sense causes her blood to quicken and become a slave to violent, primordial instincts that are painfully difficult to control. Her fangs are bared and pupils honed, and the rush of blood turns her skin red, giving her to some, the appearance of a demon.

At one point, she had fended off a group of bullies protecting her little brother but nearly turned on him when she was out of bodies to put down. It was all she could do to turn around and beat on a nearby tree with her fists until that had been felled, and she managed to calm herself down. This undisciplined degradation of her father's art is a cause of great frustration for her. Moreover, there's no way for her to know how to correct and perfect it, as her father was the only one to fully understand how to utilize passion without emotion.
