"This is one of the best shows ever", yeah, it seems like a right description for it :D About Silver refusing medications, it's not a matter of pride, he would have literally appeared weak because beside alcohol, which effects as anesthetic are quite limited, the common substance used for that purpose was opium, and under its effects Silver physical and mental capabilities would have been visibly reduced, compromising the view the crew had of him.

Oh I forgot, I'm in owe of the dialogues in this show, the way Silver describes Flint and his thoughts, his mind... like if he wasn't a human but some higher dark being... damn it's pure gold, I can't think about any other show with monologues like that.
