The limitations inherent to adapting a cartoon to live action begin to show up with this episode. It's not necessarily bad, it's just different. That difference takes a little getting used to. I grew up watching ATLA and seeing these changes was interesting. As you've both noted, some changes are actually great; others not so much. I'll be interested in your take on episodes 4 and 5 which are the weakest according to the fandom, but you might think differently. Netflix just yesterday officially announced the go-ahead for season 2 and 3, which will be filmed at the same time. Oh, and you guys commented on the portrayal by Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh. I've heard other fans note that his delivery is like that of an actor in a stage play. He's a big fan of ATLA and a good actor, but I guess he wanted to portray Iroh with his own flavor.
