I enjoyed the discussion of the word "Kafkaesque". Bringing up Kafka makes me think of his most famous book "metamorphosis" which starts with the narrator waking up to learn that he's become an insect. Which of the characters had woken up to realize they're disgusting? Walt has been disgusting for a long time but I don't think he's realized it yet. I think season 3's nihilistic version of Jesse is a better candidate--especially considering this is the episode where he joins a narcotics anonymous group to sell them meth. Insect imagery is a large part of breaking bad so it might be something to keep track of (in addition to color theory and everything else you're tracking). You've already seen one big example of insect imagery way back in season 2 in "peekaboo" (the episode when Jesse tried to get his money back from spooge before spooge's head got crushed) which starts with Jesse playing with an insect until skinny p shows up to stomp on it. It's worth keeping track of when insects show up and who is relating to them. Enjoyed the reaction and discussion as always. Looking forward to the rest of the season!

Not sure if you consider this a spoiler or not so I apologize in advance but to answer your question about Marie wearing purple... The theory is that Marie is always in purple because it's the furthest away from the yellow on the color wheel. Yellow is the color assigned to meth (Jesse wears a lot of yellow when he's high. They have yellow suits on to cook. Pollos Hermanos is yellow. Etc) Also just wanted to say t's so fun to watch you guys experience this for the first time!
