Without a doubt this is my favorite show but every now and again I think they drop the ball. Is it just me or who else believes that Walt would have known if the van had GPS or not. Walt bought a GPS device you don't think he'd check to see if the rental van had one. Why would Jesse burn Walt's money instead of stealing it. Why would Walt after arriving at the scene knowing he just got played get back in his car and take off. I know me over thinking these scenes I guess this is what happens after watching this show for the umptenth time lol. Any who per usual great reaction even though I disagree with you folks on a couple of things. To name one when Jesse "The Rat" Pinkman spits in Walt's face when handcuffed now that's a bitch move. The GPS thing sure - Walt has outsmarted others in more complex ways before this. One might say creating his empire made him become much more sloppy ie leaving Gale’s book out for Hank to find but that was before him making the Confessions video tape to frame Hank. It made the plot fun so I won’t complain, but I’ll give you that. Jesse burning the money is totally believable. He was just tossing his $5 million outside the car window a couple episodes ago, not caring if it goes in the gutter or what. Why the heck would he keep Walt’s then. It’s “blood money”. I’ve thought about the “why don’t you just drive off” thing too but at that point, he thinks Jesse’s coming and is so fueled by vengeance (to Jesse; he has no clue Hank is with him) + greed (if he leaves that spot, Jesse will know where his money is at least generally and may actually dig it up…Walt needs to stay to protect his territory/money and kill Jesse in the process). His ego needed to peak here for his downfall to be that much starker and more poetic in Ozymandias. To me, it fits the story.
