Why did you say you hate it when shows go on & on and its pointless? I dont think Vince Gilligan does that on any of his shows. Especially not breaking bad. The point of them all around the table in Walts backyard is everything seemed normal again. Everyone was together like a normal happy family. That was what that scene was saying.
