Good morning folks. Do you have a moment to give me your opinion on something?

With that Arma bullshittery finished, I'm likely going to create another couple of parts to that Womble's Soapbox video talking about the DayZ Standalone (drafts 1, 2 and 3 are here). There are roughly 6 more parts to go, talking about some of the misconceptions the standalone made about the DayZ mod.

My original plan was to work on segments between bullshitteries. But honestly, I'm now just tempted to disappear for 8-10 weeks to try and get it finished. I'm worried that my constant mentioning of it is over-hyping it and that it's going to take so long people will lose interest. Or the points will lose relevance.

Also, it coincides well with the arrival of my puppy Lulu in 10 days (I'm so excited!!). Who will likely throw my timetable off as I adjust to her routine.

I'll still be around for the regular daily streams. And you'll still get constant updates on progress and release of new videos as normal. It just means that, to the public, I'll disappear entirely for 8-10 weeks.

POLL - Do you think this is a good idea?

Do whatever you feel like doing! I could criticize this decision and give you a bunch of advice why not to not do this, I could also do the opposite, but it eventually just all comes down to whether you actually want to do it or not. I do think that if you basically dissappear from YouTube for normal viewers (those who don't watch twitch streams or are patreons) you owe them an update video.

I get more and more hyped for every part i watch of the DayZ video. I think it will be great and well received, seeing how much work you're putting into it. With that being said, I think you should schedule your time as you feel it benefits the video best. It has already been in work for a relatively long time (just my opinion btw), and while I don't doubt your skills, it would be a let down compared to the hype if its rushed at the end. So to try and round up my thoughts; take your time, adjust your schedule as you see it best, make sure you're happy with the result. I don't think people won't abandon your fan base because you're focusing on a project for a bit :)

I agree with some of the other comments here, in as much as I'd like to see you continue to do whatever the hell you like. But, I also think it'd be interesting to see a different style of video from you. Up until this point, it's been pure Bullshittery and the occasional odd .AVI video (the bath mat one is my favourite, as it never fails to annoy my lesbian). But it'd be cool to see what else you can do, and given the previews we patrons have seen, I think it'd be pretty awesome! Edit: Also, yes. Lulu videos will tide most of the masses over if you do decide to do the Soapbox video.

It might be a good idea to get part one out to the public to set up for the series Womble's soapbox, then at the end have the patreon link and add a small thank you for everyone's support etc. That way you encourage people to visit the patreon and if they support they will find out where your plan are. Love the comedy and ideas presented in the soapbox. I look forward if you decide to take an analytical look at other games as well.

Dear Womble, I would like to emphasize on an issue not many people have talked about, the puppy. Don't get me wrong, it is an amazing experience for you and you this pup will become your best friend for life. But i just want to make sure you know that pups take a lot of time and care. Pups have a small bladder and almost no bladder control so you will have to teach lulu how to go to potty which can take some time depending on the dog. That's without mentioning that pups really like to explore and it will take you some time to adjust your home for it so it doesn't hurt them somehow. My first pup liked to chew on electric cables so it took some training to stop that. One more thing, you need to establish a routine for your dog, and not the other way around. This will also take some time getting used to but you should be fine with a little help if this is your first dog. Don't be afraid to consult vets and dog trainers whenever you feel like you are facing some issues. I've been training dogs for some time and had 5 in my life so i'll be more than happy to help you with that. Now onto the video thing: I believe that 8 to 10 weeks is a lot of time for people that keep looking for new content to enjoy. I think that even a small video would be enough to keep the public entertained for a bit. In the end of the day, you do what you're good at, but i believe this will hurt your PR a little bit.

Your videos have always been extremely fun to watch because they were never forced. You aren't just churning out content for the sake of making content, every video has some sort of meaning or purpose. Whether it's a project you're working on, or just a game you're really into at the moment, they always come out with an air of authenticity. I'd say just keep doing you. Maybe over the next 8-10 weeks you'll stream something you really want to get a video out for, and your direction will change for a week or so to get it done. Perhaps you could release shorter montages of funny stream moments just to have the odd video release if the moments present themselves. Otherwise you could release a video to the public stating your intent to try a longer series that will take some time, that you'll still be streaming regularly and will send updates on Lulu, but that the Bullshitteries will stop for a short while as you make this big release. Just keeps your fans in the loop with what you're up to and sparks some excitement for something different. Just my 2 cents, just make sure you're enjoying whatever you're producing because that's half the reason they turn out so good.

Definitely do the break. You'll keep streaming so the majority of your activity will still be going on. Streams are what the youtube videos are made of anyway. The only downside to all of this will be the increase of people turning up late to every stream asking the same question; "wheres the youtube videos?". Despite you explaining it every stream beforehand. Besides that theres no negatives, as long as the streaming stuff doesnt completely disappear and stuff. I honestly don't know how you deal with so many repeated questions tbh

What Cawky16 says is right, you especially need to release a video to the channel explaining the situation to slow the amount of questions about it. You also seem to need to do this personally so you should because it may make it easier to make videos. I simply mean because then the extra videos aren't bugging you because they aren't made yet.

I think it is highly likely this is a bad idea, and I think you should really take a middle road here. Rather than disappearing completely, I think you should do one small video or smth after every 2 parts you finish. It just seems bad from an activity standpoint.

Take all the time you need, dude. I love the DayZ video so far, I think it's well thought out and presented. Also, I hope you and Lulu have many years together

If you stop, numbers will drop, and it will be difficult to get back up again for a while, keep the momentum if you can.
