Good afternoon everyone. I hope you're all having a nice week. Cor blimey is this year going quickly. I can't believe it's already October. My mum asked me for Christmas present ideas the other day. I would like to return to normal time please :S

On the editing front, it's day 17 on my attempt to get three video-essays up onto the channel. And I can report that part 1 (16 minutes 30 seconds) and part 2 (11 minutes and 13 seconds) are ready. Part 3 (40 minutes and 47 seconds) has about 20 minute left to edit.

So that's about 68 minutes of footage and 47 minutes complete. 70% of the way through.

A breakdown of each video:

01 - When early access to too early: (16 minutes 30 seconds)

So after some audio tinkering and a little bit of cutting for brevity, this one should be ready to go. A brief introduction. And talk about the pitfalls of early access when it's too early/not representative of your final product -  https://youtu.be/vqD4kSCAHEQ

02 - The history of the DayZ mod: (11 minutes 13 seconds)

So this one has been entirely re-voiced. As previously I felt I was too imprecise with my narration. Speaking too quickly and flubbing words here and there. Plus a handful of new scenes cut to better illustrate the topics being discussed - https://youtu.be/CXgnAvJKkDM

03 - Evolution of the DayZ mod: (40 minutes 53 seconds)

This is where the bulk of the work is currently going. Here's a screenshot of the timeline. And the link to the previous audio-only draft:

So what I'm trying to do is make a series of important visual compositions in Adobe After Effects. And then sandwich some filler footage in between for things that don't necessarily need visual guides. So far so good really. Alas, I sometimes feel like I run out of ways to say "editing is proceeding as normal".

I am a little worried about that dip towards the end of the timeline there. That's a bit of a complicated bit, cut to music. I may have to get onto that pronto or risk it consuming too much time as QA approaches.

But yes! So far, so good. Thanks again for giving me the time to do this. Let me know if you spot any whoopsies in the first two parts.

Thanks again!
