Random Arma Bullshittery - Update #3 (2/2) (Patreon)

Right, so sickness aside. What I've been trying to do since the last update is provide an answer to the question "how large is this bullshittery?" And then determine if it should be one episode, or split into several.

And I thought the best way to do that would be to jump straight into normal cutting as though making any regular bullshittery. Taking the highlights and editing them to the bullshittery pace, removing everything that's not part of the joke, and then presenting them on the timeline. Since it normally takes me 2-3 days to cut 30-40 clips, with 164 clips cut from the Antistasi streams you can see the reason for the delay. 

What I've been trying to do is convert each of these:

Into this:

Clips that feature only the parts needed to keep things funny. Note that the audio is often cut more than the visuals. This is something of a hallmark of the bullshittery edits, as I'm much more in favor of keeping things moving quickly rather than showing things exactly as they happened. The intention is to get the audience "on a roll" , as John Cleese would say.

Additionally, I was trying to identify clips from the 164 that could be sneakily placed in later Arma bullshitteries down the road, without anyone noticing. Things not necessarily related to Antistasi or missions we found ourselves doing. And in total there are about 39. But there could be more.

So with the remaining 125 Antistasi clips cut, I would then transfer them onto the timeline to produce this. An approximation of what the final video would look like, though likely not quite in that order.

Then lets assume that another third of the video will also be compressed down further - as more audio is cut down, or some jokes removed because they're not so funny on the rewatch. And the end result is that Random Arma Bullshittery part 10 is about 1 hour long.

My first reaction:

So we definitely got up to a lot in those Antistasi games. This isn't a video, it's a series. It's about 4-5 individual bullshitteries. I don't think it's all that sensible to focus on making one gigantic video, because it'll be difficult to quality control. But instead to make a playlist on Youtube just called "Anistasi".

If you're happy for me to do so, what I'll do now is start doing the text and the animations for the first one. The good news is that the cutting is effectively complete, it's really just a question of moving clips around. But I can start keyframing immediately for part 1 if you wish?
