Random Arma Bullshittery (part 8) - Update #3 (Patreon)
Content
When I say mostly, one of the things that I'm struggling with is focusing on polishing a scene to completion before moving on with the next one. This is mostly to do with the nature of nested sequences (storing sequences in their own timelines, rather than one huge timeline that contains everything).
Previously when doing it all on one timeline I was kind of forced to complete whole segments before moving onto the next one because I would need to know how the transition looked because moving things afterwards was hard.
But now I can drag and drop things easily. And so, when I get stuck on something its very easy to just move onto a new clip rather than get frustrated with the frame-by-frame difficulties. It's the curse of quick wins - how it's measurably more satisfying as human beings to do lots of small things we know we can do, rather than slog through huge difficult things.
A bad habit unfortunately. And it does make it harder to produce preview clips. Sorry about that. But I'll just keep cracking on and hope to have it near complete by the end of the week.
By way of apology, please accept these cute pictures of the dog watching me edit - [1][2]
