Sneak Peek #25: Menus... But Sexy! (Patreon)

Hey there! I've got another sneak peek at the New You Update today, this time looking at... menus. But they're sexy, I promise! Especially the last four images...

The New Main Menu

A new update means we need a new main menu, and after experimenting with a few other concepts, I decided why not just focus entirely on the reason for this update - the new Connor?

This actually fades in when you first launch the game, beginning with the outer two Connors before they fade out to show the middle two, and then lastly the front and center Connor settles in for the full menu.

The main menu also features a new clickable option - the launch menu for Grind'm, which is now coded in the game.

The Grind'm Menu

I was worried I wouldn't be able to do the menu for Grind'm the way I wanted, but it turned out to be relatively simple - I'm not a coder, so I'm pretty proud that I learned enough the past few years that I was able to figure it out without too much trouble! 

I'm also not a graphic designer, but I did my best 😉 When you first open Grind'm, you'll be met with a message explaining what it is and how it works as well, as the app menu on the left.

Before a Grind'm hookup is unlocked, the hookup guy is on the downlow, designated by not fully showing his face in his profile pic and the colors being faded out. He's also shown as offline.

Bringing up the full downlow profile gives a few more details on the guy as well as hints at where to find him while playing.

For now there's nothing else to do except click "Sign Off" and go play the game.

When you meet Jordi for the first time while playing, you'll get a pop-up letting you know his Grind'm hookup is available. Now when you return to the Grind'm menu, you'll get to see a whole lot more of Jordi. You didn't just unlock a more detailed profile but also four sexy profile pics.

Before you click on "Message" and launch the scenario, the profile pics give a tantalizing glimpse of what your new hookup has to offer...

(Poor Jordi broke his arm last year, but luckily he had some awesome buds who helped him out in his time of need!)

That's what I've got today! Getting the new menus finalized always makes an update feel more real to me - I'm so excited to see everything coming together as I work to share this very soon 🙂
