Traffic Control (Patreon)

I need to double check, but I think this is my last Bronycon commission. The OC in the piece is the male fox peace officer. I was given some reference for the character and the uniform but basically left to my own devices when it came to the composition for the drawing. 

      One of the reasons this piece took a while to get done was the fact that I struggling with what exactly I wanted the character to be doing in the drawing. I tried the usual collection Hollywood  themes: gun battles, car chases, arresting bad guys and none of it felt right. They all felt tired, worn and cliche. 

        Then I started thinking about the people I've know over the years who have been long-term members of the law enforcement community. There's one thing that they all had in common. That's a sense of duty and commitment to help their community and to help the next generation get pointed in the right direction. So that's what I decided to focus on for this drawing.
