Whether one is planning on entering in a competition, teaching a lesson,  attempting a complicated task, or giving a demonstration your  preparation can often make the difference between making something look  almost effortless or a struggle.

For my Picarto stream on 7/8/17 my special guest artist Jaya King  is taking nothing for granted and is practicing to make certain that if  you tune in tomorrow night starting at 5:30pm Pacific you'll see  something amazing.

For tomorrow's demo Jaya is going to be doing to be creating a  painting in encaustic wax which involves melting, applying, and fusing  layers of colored wax to a prepared surface. One of Jaya's preferred  tools is a blowtorch. Yep. Jaya plays with fire and tomorrow she'll be  doing it live on the air.

Now here's a question for you.  What MLP character does this color palette seem appropriate for? What  character would that be? Then tune in tomorrow evening to see if you are  right. See you there!

Perhaps tomorrow there will be a waxing moon...

Two scenes would work well for this color scheme. Nightmare Moon in front of a nebula-filled night sky, or Vinyl Scratch at a rave with the music coloring the air -- perhaps working no her music rig.

I thought that art style sounded familiar. I remember hearing about it in an art history class I took back in college.

Well you'll get a chance tomorrow to see her demonstrate it tomorrow evening.
