As Goddess of the Stars, knowledge, inspiration and magic, the Starlit Enchantress is a being of pure wonder and light. While stars are often considered to be the "lesser lights" of the night sky, they are still not to be taken lightly. Wishes are given and taken by these stars, and all who wish their dreams of night to become reality in the light of day must rely upon her spark.

Much like Munshin or Corrin, Metteyra enjoys directly interacting with mortals, often giving them a slight nudge in the right direction when they are close to finding an answer or giving them a light to follow when they've lost their way. She is also one who is interested in seeing how far mortals can go in the time that they have been given, and so she is often associated with progress wherever her worship is popular. Although she might be quite amicable and encouraging, she is also quite cunning in her plans and punishments...

When the world was in chaos during the Reckoning, there were mortals who were desperate to survive. Those who harnessed all of the power they could muster to fight back against demons and dragons and other powerful entities who threatened to consume their home. There was one such mortal who became such a threat, even after the sealing of Katash, that he was referred to as the Rageblood. Metteyra and Corrin had both been watching this mortal, impressed with the strength he had shown even without any magical or divine assistance.

However, his destructive tendencies would make lives for other mortals difficult, and so the two came up with a plan. Corrin disguised themselves as a mortal and encountered the Rageblood to offer him a challenge in a fight. If he won, he would be able to continue on his path of destruction. If he lost, he would have to submit to the stranger and obey one request. After a lengthy battle, the Rageblood lost to Corrin, and he stayed true to his word and submitted himself to the stranger's request. Metteyra then wove together a spell that sealed the Rageblood within the vessel of a doll. Metteyra then said that the spell would only be broken when the wandering barbarian was capable of finding something truly worth protecting rather than destroying.

Those who follow Metteyra are often in academic or arcane pursuits. Certain sects of Metteyrites also have the tendency of dividing the goddess into different specific aspects that reflect different schools of magic, though it is not always guaranteed she will manifest as such. The faithful often offer up essays and other collections of knowledge to the goddess under the stars of their birth as thanks for her guidance and inspiration, and the Starlit Enchantress always smiles upon them for their eagerness to learn and grow.
