IMPORTANT update blog (Patreon)

As of january 31st, there will no longer be a tier 1 option available for subscriptions.

back in december, i had mentioned in our discord that it was about time that i updated my prices on the patreon. it was around the beginning of 2020 that i added the current tier options, and since then we´ve come a long way, and i personally feel like my art has improved a significant amount. its almost as if all that studying i was doing in my free time is paying off.

and as the gumroad keeps proving to be a dependable source of income, i feel like i can now begin relying less on the patreon as my major source of money. basically, this was the natural course of events.

i will also be altering tier 2´s content.

starting in february, these will be the benefits for the tiers:

Tier 2:

- participate in content polls

- wip updates

- access to patreon only discord

- access to monthly rewards including poster pack or a comic (sometimes both) (40% resolution)

Tier 5:

- participate in content polls

- wip updates

- access to patreon only discord

- access to monthly rewards including poster pack or a comic (sometimes both) (full-resolution)

- despite the namesake, there wont be any early-access, however there will be exclusive tier 5 images not available in the tier 2 poster pack, to justify the extra cost and to be able to take my time working on the images.

and there we go.

i should also explain that the poster packs are now taking longer to complete and have decreased in amount of files since i dedicate a lot more time to coloring, and that means you receive less, but better quality images. as for the tier 5 exclusive images, i have a plan. i usually make fridays my free days to draw whatever i want for fun (since now images are themed each month), im thinking those images will be the ones exclusive to tier 5, and so for paying the extra 3 bucks, i believe tier 5´s will be receiving between 4-6 additional images every month.

that´s basically it. on one hand, it´s kinda scary taking these leaps as a creator since i always feel iffy about the business side of my work (despite of the money-hungry image ive painted for myself on our discord ). ive never been one to dwell on money, but now i have responsibilities and people that rely on me financially, so i have to do these sort of things for my own good. on the other hand, ive had so many people tell me that im charging way too little for my work, whether it be commissions, my tiers, my comics etc. i personally am happy just being able to live comfortably but thats a boring subject so i wont say anymore.
