Download problems with MEGA (Patreon)

it seems that Mega was offline because of maintenance for a short time. :/

Now the download links are working again :)

Other creators I've supported have used Dropbox and it certainly seems fine, never any issues with it 😊

Dropbox has always worked well for me! Speaking of which, I lost some files when moving computers recently, and the old links to the March and April downloads are dead.

Dropbox's base storage is 2gb so anyone making an fresh account could be to little for the files. Google Drive's base storage is 15gb which should be good for one to two months of your glorious character illustrations.

Dropbox is a good option. Especially for those who also use Dropbox, being able to save it directly to your own Dropbox account. You can also look at Gumroad as an option, offering it as a free link to download. I am not sure if they charge per download, or per month, so I guess that'll all depend. But since you have it all available there to buy, may save on the double uploading.

I prefer Box.com or Google Drive, but all of them are the same in the end (with dropbox) , in our company we use Box for designer assets, but feel free to test and evaluate costs. I can't recommend anything sadly because I have 200gb x2 years in Drive and 50gb x unlimited time at box, both for free due other offers lol, so, I can't be very objective with my suggestion, but all 3 have good encryptation and support 2 step validation if you care of security =*)

Mega gives free users 50GB of storage, where Dropbox limits free users to 2GB. Moving to Dropbox will cause folks in higher tier to have to pay for the Pro version or download immediately. I do have a Dropbox Pro, but I would still prefer Mega for those other patrons.

I'd say use whatever but if you have to use Dropbox. Also feel like you kinda don't even really need a change plus it's also better for us to have that 50gb free storage buuuuuuuuut that's just me but also this batch was amazing!! Didn't get the chance to say anything with the release post but I Really like Brunhilde just because I kinda have a thing for warrior/Medieval girls hehe :P My fave was obviously C18 haha Also I'm loving how things are getting more and more heated up with every month ;)

Thanks for telling us! As for Dropbox, I use it all the time and it is super quick. But I do have free space. However, a normal user gets 2GB to start with and I doubt that even fits one batch. Thus, you'd sadly have to pay. I'd only switch if there were still problems with MEGA in the future!

one of my favorite comic company's tend to use dropbox a lot and I have yet to have any major issues, unlike mega.

As someone who's only downloading the stuff, Mega is my preference hands down. But dropbox is a decent option too, and from an uploader's perspective it's hard to beat its ease of use. Considering the storage limits though, you'd need to go for the paid version.

Yeah, I always liked MEGA, but I would like to have all the previous batches on one cloud and MEGAs 50GB aren't enough for that :O They also have weird payment methods, I like to pay via Paypal and that's not possible in my country for MEGA. Perfect would be something where I can upload all previous batches, so I can share them easily if one of my patrons lost the stuff. 1TB on Dropbox sounds good to me, that's enough storage for the ladies :D

The paid version is ok for me, but it's very important that my patrons don't have to have a pro account to download (huge) files :O
