I really do need to watch Atlantis again, I remember it from my childhood but only vaguely. Either way, I'm definitely happy to see this painting, tanned ladies with white hair and blue eyes+clothes are always among my favourites! 💙💙💙 The colours here are just gorgeous, with Kida's warm face framed against all of that cool, white hair, with her blue eyes looking so distinct. Likewise, her clothes are a terrific contrast to her warm skin tones too. Her pose and whole demeanour are so sensual and alluring too, while also being very dynamic, with the alternating angles of her head, shoulders and hips, the curving of her body as she leans and the asymmetry in her arms. I like how casually she's leaning against the rock and the wonderful tease as she loosely holds up her sash, all capped off by that inviting smirk, leaning of her head and the eye-contact with those beautiful, rich blue eyes. The rendering is as exquisite as always with her hair having a gorgeous sense of texture to it and a terrific amount of detail. I like the subtle lighting contrast, most notable in her fringe, a brighter hue on her left side and subtly darker to her right. Her bra looks fantastic with the twisting fabric and all those tight, rippling creases and folds. The overall lighting is terrific too with the strong contrast between light and dark tones, showing the definition of both the material and breasts as it wraps over them. I also like the smooth, yet painterly texture to it as well. The sash is very nice too for similar reasons with gorgeous colours and lighting and really well defined folds. With both the bra and sash, I do also like the subtle lighting within the shadows seen on the outer planes of her right breast and hip. With the sash in particular, I especially like how the material subtly transitions from opaque to transparent while retaining all of the detail and beautiful rendering/lighting. (And as a bonus, I do really like the rock she's leaning on with it's rough texture and the blue patterns on it too) As for Kida herself, that overall lighting setup is just so good! I love this kind of lighting where the character is primarily lit from one side, with the opposing shadows providing such a great contrast and really defining the anatomy. With this painting, her whole mid-section especially shows off the terrific lighting, with the deep shadows emphasising the shapes and tone of her stomach and all of the plane changes surrounding it. Her abs have such wonderfully smooth textures and blending and such great tone and definition from the contrast in light and dark. I love her thighs too with pale lighting running down them, smoothly blending out into darker tones on either side, with the darkest tones providing a great contrast and definition. Her arms too look great for similar reasons, I really like her raised shoulder and bicep, as well as the subtle edge-light running down her right arm. The hands have an excellent amount of detail and all the plane changes for the fingers and ridges on the backs of the hands are very nicely done. And of course there's her face which is just beautiful! The tanned skin framed by cool white hair is so perfect and I love the one strand running down between her eyes. As with her body, the clear contrast in light and dark on both sides of her face is striking and does a great job defining her features. Her lips have a wonderful texture and I like the deep occlusion shadows at the corners, accentuating that smile. The nose is really cute too and my goodness... those eyes... I think I'm falling in love with those eyes 💙💙 Absolutely stunning work on this piece! The colours are so vibrant and the lighting provides such depth and definition, all while Kida appears so alluring and beautiful. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 I'm definitely excited to see the full sized and additional versions for this piece! As always, I hope that you're doing very well! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

If I had a nickel for every time you drew a lady from a criminally underrated movie that was a huge part of my childhood this year, I would have two nickels, with isn't much but its funny that it happened twice! Seriously, first Chel and now Kida?!?! Kida is another character that I never bothered to ask because I thought she was too obscure to ever make the cut, and the fact she was last place on her poll made me even less motivated to ask, so I'm really glad that this still happened. I don't think I can describe how obsessed I was with Atlantis back when I was a kid. I had the movie on VHS (remember VHS's? lol) and used to watch it almost every single day after school. I still remember sequences such as the Leviathan attack beat by beat to this day, the movie had such a distinct style and atmosphere compared to other Disney movies that it immediately stood out for me. Kida looks beautiful in your style and I can't wait to see the Mr. Tentacle variants now. Hope to see more underrated ladies in the future too! Cheers, Dandon.

One of the best things in your art is that now and then you share some love on these underrated girls. This Kida is simply outstanding! One more art for the gallery of "the best artwork on her I've ever seen". And since you mentioned underrated girls, what about Cait (Gears of War 4), Shaundi (Saints Row 3), Batwoman (DC comics), Pepperoni (Girls und Panzer) and Lisa Hamilton (Dead or Alive)?
