Still crazy seeing scenes that were depicted in a video game from 2013 that made us all go "Holy Shit" while the show is able to do the same thing 10 years later and still shock us with those same scenes with a few changes.

Sam and Henry deserved better. My favorite moment in this episode was seeing Ellie and Sam quickly befriending each other. Both of them had reasons for needing a new friend.

Yeah this part in the game AND in the show was just brutal (Strictly talking about Sam and Henry's death). Ellie definitely lost some of her innocence during this segment. That big zombie is called a bloater. Once someone is infected, if they survive for a year or so, they become a clicker. If they survive for even longer than that they become a bloater (If I remember correctly). Yeah, I'll let you all know now, this franchise doesn't give a damn about anyone's feelings. You're waiting for a W? Shoot me too lol.

Try to put it like this, each episode is basically like the missions in order but mostly made with the cut scenes from the game they do change it up a bit but not even a lot it’s like literally watching the game😭it gets deep fr lmao

Having flashbacks to the sniper section in the game... lol AND! Just like ep 3...I think they did the right thing with every change to this chapter vs. The game. The way this show is able to present the stories of "the last of us" (meaning...the last of humanity) and make us really care! It's art. Imo.

Henry and Sam were such fun characters, both in the game and show. They were sweet and a much needed break from the apocalypse. As you guys can tell, The Last of Us is centered around heartbreak.

Also that big infected you saw come out of the ground was called a “bloater” in the game they rip pieces of their body off and throw them at you and the pieces explode. It’s horrific 😂😂

I told Vince in episode 1, to keep the same energy that you had about "anyone can die". These writers are heartless in this show. That gut wrenching look that yall had after Henry shot himself was a UNIVERSAL look and feeling for everyone that watched this episode. Great reaction!! But.....it continues......

Bill and Frank had a win. They got to live together for 20 years and have a fulfilling life. But yeah this world is dishing fat Ls out left and right to a majority of people. It makes those moments of peace and kindness so important.

vince is right in the way that henry didn't want joel to shoot sam. but shoshana is right too, henry didn't really realize what he did. he did it so fast without thinking. that's why he kept going, "what'd i do?" he was in shock.

It’s thought that when Sam was sitting on the bed looking out the window, he was doing that purposefully, as by being deaf, he knew that once the fungus fully took over, he wouldn’t realize Ellie was in the room.

Lowkey, i feel like this adds new meaning to what Kathleen was saying to Henry, like what if Sam was meant to die. All of Henry's effort to escape the inevitable of his brother dying just for it to end with that.

Henry’s line “you might not be her father, but you were someone’s-I could tell…” really hit me in the feels. You never stop being a parent, even after you lose a child. Whenever Joel is looking at his watch, he’s thinking of Sarah…you can see how close he’s becoming to Ellie and how much he’s afraid to care for her, because he’s afraid to lose another child like that again. It’s just so sweet to see how much he’s beginning to love her like his own child. Joel is helping Ellie learn to trust and feel safe, and Ellie is helping Joel learn to love again. They help each other heal and it’s a beautiful story.
