I skipped this one in theaters after every critic in the world gave it a bad review. Figured I’d watch it with Vince and Shoshana to help ease the pain 😅. I hope it’s a little fun at least, let’s do this!

The situation around the marvels was rough because it came out right after the actors strike and the writers strike and it was also filmed before marvel changed their strategy on their films and shows, so it really had no chance of being successful, it still isn’t a good movie at all, but just my 2 cents on it

I can't watch this again so I just listened to your thoughts on it. The only good thing that came out of this movie is that we know they are setting up the Young Avengers.

Following the box office reception, Iman Vellani responded by saying that there’s no point in focusing on something that’s beyond her control. That’s Bob Iger’s problem. She genuinely had fun making the movie and was happy with the finished product. She also suggested a way to restore the hype level, and that’s by having characters pair up every now and then until they eventually form the next main squad. In the meantime, Iman co-wrote another 4-part Ms. Marvel comic run titled Mutant Menace. This is a follow-up to her first run called The New Mutant. The first volume will hit shelves on Wednesday, March 6. Believe it or not, Monica would’ve gotten a codename by the end of the movie. It didn’t make the final cut, but she would’ve adopted the moniker Photon. She would be honoring her late mother since that was her pilot codename. And finally, the blue furry guy is Dr. Hank McCoy. His name among mutants is Beast. He’s actually from the next X-Men movie on your watchlist called The Last Stand.

Not filmed, promoted. The three leading ladies barely had time to promote their film, and so did the cast of Loki season 2. At least Alaqua Cox got to promote Echo with little to no problem.

The blue guy in the post credit scene is Beast, you’ll meet him in the next X-Men movies. They were in the X-Men laboratory in that scene, and when Beast said “Charles asked for an update” he was talking about Xavier. Universes are colliding! We’re finally getting X-Men in the MCU.

Deserved better. Wasn’t as bad as people thought it was. Not the best. But definitely not the worst. Best thing to come out of this movie is the amazing chemistry from the trio.

For me personally, while I didnt care for the villain, I thought the acting by the main cast was actually good. The fight scenes were more than decent. It wasnt a great movie for sure but i do feel it was at least better than Antman 3. This is a popcorn 6/10 movie for me. I enjoyed it for what it was. I think Kamala was the MVP. So for me it wasnt as bad as people made it seem. Reminds me of the Flash movie.

Also yes that was Beast from the XMen universe. As well as Binary not Captain Marvel. So she ended up basically in a universe with the Xmen which is why Beast said Charles needs a report.

Y’all could low key start daredevil before echo it leads into season 4 of daredevil whether before or after y’all do the X-men series and The marvels was alright I really messed with their powers and also she played that ms Marvel role perfect in this movie felt like I was watching the animated version😭

Nobody voted on the polls or liked the movie suggestions for X-Men/other Marvel based character movies and told them to skip certain things because they were bad shows. Now those movies and shows need to be seen to continue. Marvel is a ridiculous dedication at this point

Yeah it’s technically “canon” but they said the new show will be made in a way that you don’t need to watch the previous seasons. It’s like a soft reboot.

They will pretty soon. As far as MCU films go, they’re all caught up for a while. There’s definitely more room for X-Men.

This is just one of those movies where you go in with low expectations and end up enjoying the film for what it is. Kamala by far is the best part of this film.

In the ultimate alliance 2 video game they showed off the "superhuman damage insurance" which of course allows the greedy dicks to have a basic level for "captain America level damage" but if hulk plows through your house you better have the "comprehensive coverage"

I love this movie! I can't believe you didn't love it. It was so refreshing imo. Funny, charming and gave more depth to each charter. And the x-men reveal at the end was great.

You’re not alone Shoshana. Among movies this is the worst rated one. To me marvel is dead. I stopped watching after the last guardians. Time will always catch up and it’s caught up to this historically great franchise but it’s time for it to come to an end.

MCU has had its up and downs just like any other franchise, but compared to what Sony is doing right now, they’re in a better position long term when it comes to the movies that they have coming up because I feel like Sony’s marvel movies are way worse than things like the marvels and Thor love and thunder

The problem with ending a big franchise like the MCU is that there’s still people that like it and I can’t think of another alternative that other than the MCU, them changing their strategy I think will help going forward, plus it’s hard to see a franchise that’s been around for 15 years just ending out of nowhere, Sony’s attempt with marvel movies really should end though because none of them are interesting at all especially with stuff like madame web or kraven the hunter, MCU has Deadpool and fantastic 4 plus with another season of daredevil, MCU has a lot of good stuff lined up down the line compared to Sony, so I say that the MCU should continue because there’s way too many stories to tell for it to just end

The only way I could see the MCU ending is with the next avengers movie, but that’s it, the only movie that MCU is releasing this year is Deadpool and wolverine, all the other ones releasing this year are apart of Sony which aren’t good and kinda pointless, plus you still have daredevil and blade and captain America, there’s way too many stories to be told for it to just end,

Yeah but the standard is higher so the lows hit harderer. Sony is like going to a fast food spot when its amazing like Spider verse it hits but before Spider verse their last consistently great Spider man was two decades ago before Spider verse. Overall Marvel had been like a nicer restaurant where overall the consistency of the highs was there.

I have mixed feelings on the movie. I think the reviews of it are generally worse than the movie itself. I think the actors acted better than they have in anything previous to this. I think the script is terrible. I think the jokes dont hit for anyone but Ms. Marvel. She stands out. I think the plot is good but gets worse as the movie goes, it is quite boring but that has to do with the script being terrible. The villain is very very average. The effects are surprisingly really good. Better than the past 3 high budget marvel movies.

you guys should watch X men first class, i think its a bteer introduction to the xmen. especially better than other 2 movies you guys watched. i feel like you guys should also watch them now that they are part of the mcu and we might see some of them in deadpool 3.

I thought this was an average MCU film. I don't think it's the worst like many have stated. Bottom line: until Disney/Marvel get back to hiring top-shelf writers and stop beating people over the head with the culture war crap, their product will continue to suffer. The Deadpool trailer that was released during the Super Bowl was really good so I'm hoping they can get things back on track. One of the storylines of the new Deadpool film that has been rumored suggests that Marvel is going to do some cleaning up.

I loved this movie, honestly marvel hasn't made a bad movie. I can't say any movie they made was just plain bad. After ending did it go downhill alittle sure but they were still good movies. Besides spiderman everyone's hating on every marvel movie but in over here like when's the next one😂
