I can’t believe you guys are finally watching HEAT. It never gets any votes in the suggestion polls, even though it’s easily one of the greatest crime thrillers of ALL time. The cinematography, the score, the plot, and having Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in the same movie is just an ultimate win. Thank you MARK!

Nice. Definitely in my Top 5 Crime Thrillers of all time. It's crazy how accurate the movie is too. What's crazy is, just 2 years later in 1997 there was a massive shootout in North Hollywood after a bank robbery. It was eerily a lot like the big bank heist in this movie.

Yep, I remember this.. They kept showing the live footage that the news chopper got on cable.. I remember they had to change gun policy in the LAPD, so patrol men could start carrying what SWAT usually carries like AR-15's and 45 ACP ammo..

The impact this film has had on filmmakers cannot be understated. The town, dark knight, the list goes on and on and on. Its a modern crime classic. It was a huge deal that Al Pacino and Deniro were doing this movie. Your love of this movie confirms for me that you guys will love Breaking Bad at some point.

Yeah, their pistols were never going to work in that shootout. One of the gunmen had sewn a complete suit of kevlar from bulletproof vests that would stop large caliber magnums.

The movie with Melissa McCarthy is “The Heat” definitely worth a watch. It’s hilarious and Sandra Bullock is her cousin so it’s a family affair.

One of my top five favorite films. A masterpiece, as far as I'm concerned. We simply don't have films like this anymore because we don't have actors, writers and filmmakers like this anymore. Or at least it seems that way. This is a film for adults made by adults. That said, I was a teenager when I first saw this in the theater, and it still made an impact on me. I've lost count of how many times I've watched it since. I've yet to meet a person that's watched this film that doesn't like it. If I ever meet someone that doesn't like this film, I will have to keep one eye on them for all time, forever. People blow smoke up Christopher Nolan's ass, but he's been using this film as a blueprint for most of his filmography for his entire career. I hope he sends residuals to Michael Mann. Nolan is good, don't get me wrong, but he's merely standing on the shoulders of giants. Anyone over the age of 30 knows this. Vince's comments about the polls is heartwarming to an old curmudgeon like me. Says a lot about those polls.

Michael Mann is a great director. You guys need to check out Collateral with Tom Cruise. Would recommend not watching trailers though. I feel they spoil a lot of movies. Great reaction guys.
