SO EXCITED

imperial

The notification I’ve been waiting ALL week for. Believe it or not, this is still not the best episode. It gets even BETTER!

Chase

This episode had me stressed out!!! 😂 Sadie Sink was phenomenal in this episode, the letter she read to Billy was heartbreaking 💔 because they never had a chance to fix their relationship, and shout out to Lucas for not giving up for trying to be there for Max, he really cares for her, both Caleb McLaughlin and Sadie Sink we’re amazing 🤩 !!!

Ava

So excited to watch this right now

imperial

The reaction in the thumbnail is SO perfect, I can FEEL the stress levels going through the roof 😅

Decided31

A fart to wake someone up is crazy lmaoooo

Raden

Those last 5-10mins broke the internet for weeks

Jasmine Reigns

Sadie Sink woke up that day of filming and decided to PERFORM 🥹🥹

Peaches

Great episode, even more excited for the rest of the season..ep 7 top tier am counting down. can’t wait for y’all reaction 😆😆

Joshua Sumter

Vince PETTY for that😭😭 he ain’t had to put her on blast

Kinobi10

💩 💨 you’ll understand yall 😂😂

Jordan ellis

Love yours guys reaction! Such great chemistry between you two, it was such a joy to see Robert englund who played victor finally come to the series! Ive had the pleasure of meeting him a few times what a humble guy

DmanUNT2014

I'm with yall. The first time I watched this episode I was stressed tf out. I had to make sure I was breathing at the end lol. You know what's crazy? Season 4 gets better and even more insane! They were in their bag with this season for sure. I'm glad this episode lived up to the hype for yall, on the flip side, the reaction lived up to the expectations also lol. Can't wait for more Stranger Things reactions from you two!

Tripp

Insane episode. Best of the series, and it gets crazier!!

Livia Chapman

The guy who played older victor creel played Freddy kruegur.

Michael Santiago

The actor in the jail cell is Robert Englund famous for playing Freddy Kruger

Jmaurer

And now you’ve reached the point where everything starts ramping up! They will give you a chance to “slightly” catch your breath then you better put on your emotional 5 star harness! Once you hit EP7 you may just want to clear out your day to finish off the season because it will be hard to stop! People had to wait a month between EP7 and EP8-9 and it was excruciating!😂😂😂

lily g

just wait till the finale yall… lord

Kyra Brown

Episodes 4, 7, and 9 are for real the most goated episodes of the season maybe even the whole show they're just so WOW

Simon

I love relaxing to your guys videos after a long ass day of work 😂🔥❤️

monei

The only ppl they didn’t show in this episode is Eddie and Eleven which is good cause from this point on the season is crazy and unpredictable

lily g

episode 5 on monday is sounding real good rn..😁

spacefloc

Fun fact: you know how you were comparing Freddy Kruger to how people are dying… WELL VICTOR CREEL is the actor who played Freddy Kruger lol

2024-02-10 21:52:25 Max’s song is “Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush. Fun fact: She was listening to it in the first episode of this season as she was walking to Ms. Kelly’s office. 😊 Can’t wait to see your reactions as more of your questions get answered in the coming episodes!

when El confronted Mike about his feelings in the last episode, she specifically mentions that he repeatedly signs off his letters with "From, Mike." as opposed to something like "Love, Mike." or "I love you, from Mike." so, when he receives El's letter in this episode about her going to become a superhero, and she's signed off her letter with "From, El." she is in fact throwing a bit of shade Mike's way lol

Neville L

The last scene is undoubtedly one of the best in the entire series. It's a really beautiful metaphor for fighting depression. Max escaped because her love for her friends finally surpassed her feelings of guilt--if you look closely, the portal leading back to her friends is vaguely heart-shaped for a few moments the very last time you see it. I'm so glad they brought Max to the forefront this season, making her the center of the Hawkins plotline. You never would've expected her to become so crucial to the story when we met her way back in S2.

EdmanXERO

One of the best episodes I've ever seen. Sadie Sink brought it in this one.

Khalil Smith

Crazy episode I never seen a show get better and better as it goes this for is by far the BEST show I’ve ever watched from cinematography to storyline to acting etc.

Jim Lent

We first hear Max's song – "Running up that Hill" in the season's first episode. The reason it's her favorite is because of the lyrics, "And if I only could I'd make a deal with God And I'd get Him to swap our places," in other words, Max with Billy.

Kinobi10

We also didn’t see Eddie at all this episode

tiani t.

“And if I only could, I’d make a deal with God and I’d get him swap our places-“ Max wouldve swapped places with Billy. That whole scene with Max escaping Vecna, such a great metaphor for depression…especially after losing a loved one 😭🤍

SV1976

Vince, your scream at 1:10:30 was everything!!! Remember in S1 when El channeled Will in the upside down using the walkie talkie? He was SINGING his favorite song and that is what helped keep him alive. “Should I stay or should I go? Should I stay or should I go now…”

Rico

19:55 LOL

Mark

Will Byers favorite song was Should I stay or should I go by th Clash. His brother introduced it to him.

Jaelyn King

The silence after is real haha😂😱

Panashe Chibanda

I’m surprised people got anxious during this episode when ST has never killed a main character halfway through the season 😂 might be an unpopular opinion but this is where they should’ve killed off Max, would’ve been a 10x more impactful moment. After a while it becomes a little unrealistic seeing the main characters find their way out of trouble each time

Matthew Hazeldean

This season just got so insane, yuri done hopper and the gang so dirty, no idea how this gonna play out

Lovaire Hawkins

And there's episode 4. PHENOMENAL episode. Even though that's the best episode of the series, this season gets even better!! As for your questions, just remember, ...Stranger Things never leaves unanswered questions. By the end of episode 9, every one of your questions will be answered!!

Frederikke

I cry every time I watch this episode.. Its so good

Stacey

Remember way back, before you started the series when you were so blasé about watching Stranger Things? Feels like yesterday. It's hysterical to watch your reactions now, seeing you both so invested. Will and Jonathan's song in season 1 is "Should I Stay or Should I Go" by the Clash.

Fujipredator

So just to show how popular and influential this show has become, that song at the end, “running up that hill” by Kate Bush, became a number one hit after this episode aired. Even though it was released in like the 80’s.

Zac Cochrane

If you go back to the other 3 seasons you can hear the clock dong every once in a while. It doesn't sound like it 1st season, but it's definitely a distorted grandfather clock sound

Lovaire Hawkins

Yeah. You guys missed the entire wave of this episode when it came out. Those ladt 10 minutes of Max nit only revived a 30 years old song by Kate Bush when I shot to number one on the charts, but it completely broke the internet as people were sonsyressed and kept wat hing that sequence. The wave of episode 4, nationally, was absolutely INSANE!!!

lea

this was the most liked, favorited and most talked about episode of stranger things because of how good this episode was this season was truly the best season and each episodes gets better and better

Joe Deluca

Victor is Freddy Krueger...Robert England

jblakk

Banger after banger from hear on out too.

Isaiah

and it only gets better and better 😭😭

Bamboozler09

The song you were trying to think of mate was The Clash - Should I Stay or Should I Go. As an English lad, my Dad played The Clash a lot. Amazing reaction and can't wait for the next!

INFINITEGAMERGUY

Just wanted to say the actor that plays victor kreel is Robert Englund the same actor who played Freddy Kreuger in the original anthology in the eighty's.

Christopher Mcconnell

I saw an interview where they were like "its so cool that you got Robert Englund, to be in this" and the writers or producers or someone was like it wasn't our idea, I wish it was! He just sent in an audition tape! he was sitting in a bathtub and it was so good!

Nathan Styles

Just sayin.... when you kick him out for that fart comment, I'm ready to move down south and I won't make you say "I love you" first. Seriously though, love the ST reactions!!!

Hector Avila

So, the best episode so far was met with one of the best reactions I've seen from you guys, ever! Loved it! The whole Max storyline is soooo strong at the end and it makes you feel all kinds of emotions that you kind of forget for a minute of how great the rest of the episode was, like, that's how powerfull that ending was! But, there's one scene that I thought the director did a fabulous job, and is the invasion sequence when the military enter the Byers house... that scene was as good as any of the big budget action movies like John Whick or something like that! It was really beautifully shot, kudos to Director and team on that scene! Having said that, the next couple of episodes will be another build up into the season finale. And if you guys thought this espisode was emotionally draining, wait 'till you get to the season finale!!!! I literally had to take 2 Advils after I watched the season finale just to settle down a bit, cause my heart was beating out of my chest!

Vinyl.justin

“fun fact I said I love you first”

Marco

I’m Italian so pineapple on pizza is a big no-no. Two things that shouldn’t go together in my opinion

Tammy S

Something that always tickles me is how Max not only wrote a letter to the other kids (Lucas, Dustin, Will, Mike, and El), but she also wrote one to Steve 😂. Outside of her family, I would guess that she’d write them to her friends, but the fact that Steve is included really drives home how important he is to some of the kids because she didn’t have a letter for Nancy, Robyn, or Jonathan. Steve was the only one of the older kids that was included. I just love the dynamic he has with them. This episode was definitely action packed. Between Hopper’s storyline, Will/Mike/Jonathan dealing with the military, and then what was going on with Max in Hawkins - there was a lot that filled in the whole episode.

Tianna

As I said last episode, this is the best ep of the whole series! Absolutely loved you guys reaction 😭 can’t wait for more, it’s all so good.

Tianna

Lol right 😭😂 she gotta get him back for that one

Tianna

It’s such a good song too, i was listening to it all 2022 summer lol

Tianna

Seems more likely they will kill a main character off at the end of s5, that’s how it usually goes. Since we won’t have to experience the show with out them

Panashe Chibanda

Yeah but I would’ve liked to see them grieve Max and face Vecna knowing there’s a chance they could die. Not many shows kill crucial characters throughout the seasons. How is Vecna, this scary, out of this world creature, getting outsmarted by teenagers. It ruins his character imo. But Sadie Sink was killing it this season and it would’ve been a huge waste to let her go, but if it means getting a better story and more emotion out of the audience, then they should do it. Like Hopper definitely should of died at the end of S3. Bringing him back killed all the emotion of that season.

Kevin Matthew

This show is incredible and this was hands down one of the best episodes of the entire series. The song by Kate Bush also became a #1 hit after this episode.

Joe Johnson

This season is just amazing… it gets even more better and more emotional thru out the season..

Yannick Wittemeier

Well I mean Max's arc in this episode is a massive metaphor for depression and suicidal toughts. The letters just prove that. So for me it hits even more that she survived this. With the music they just opened the door, but Max still had to go through and remember all good that happened in her life to break free. Thats such a powerfull message, which wouldn't have been so strong, if she died. Of course it would have created a strong emotional impact on the group, but im still happier with this

Melissa Nunn

OMG!!! So excited for this reaction

Panashe Chibanda

Never thought about it this way but I can 100% understand why people who saw it from your perspective preferred the Duffer brothers choice to let Max survive.

Simon

Such a damn great reaction guys! 😂🔥

def

wow i just realised that she only wrote a letter for steve amongst the big kids

Melissa Nunn

The Kate Bush song has been heard a few times in the season so far. When Max was walking to the counselors office and passed by Lucas the song was playing. This shit hyped that song so much. I've heard several new covers of the song don't the show released.

Romeo Bartley

this is def my fav episode so far . idk if you guys remember but when max was walking in the hallway with Chrissy the song acc playing in the background in episode one (s4)

Danielle Maurer

That scene was choreographed, and was shot in one take. Of course it was practiced many times first.

Ben Gibb

Yes pineapple on pizza is goated with those that have a sense of taste

Juan Genao

1 of my favorite episodes in my favorite season. There are still 2 epic episodes remaining and I'm sure everyone knows what they are lol. They got me with max at the end I was like they not killing her then she started to float and flashback and I was like na for real they really gonna kill her. then she got away so relief and then the black screen for a couple extra seconds back to fear lol GREAT episodes and that kate bush song really nailed it.

Alberto Cuevas

I cry every time from the max flashbacks, surprised y’all didn’t.

Hector Avila

Yeah that was the best part, it was a one take shot, just amazing! Reminded me of the Bad Boys movies with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, it had that Michael Bay vibe to it! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Shirlene Wright

How did I never put that together... Rewatches of this series are amazing!! So many clues and call backs.. Thanks

Aldo Gonzales

Shoshana still almost cried for Max at the end of the episode. I’ll take that.

Tori

Team pineapple 🙋🏻‍♀️. Pineapple, pepperoni and jalapeños 👍🏻. Anyone else wondering what their song is? Not our business but damn I’m curious.

Robert Spurgeon

The actor who plays Victor Creel also played Freddy Krueger!

Corey

What I like to read into that scene also, is that your friends can help you with depression but ultimately you are the one that has to fight the rest of the way out of it. I just love that scene.

Alberto Cuevas

True, but if one of them don’t cry in the final episode we gonna have problems😄 jk.

Mia

Honestly I felt for Max and El this season. El, we get so much of what makes her who she is, and why she's so different. With Max, she had no idea how to process the trauma she suffered. She barely liked Billy, but he was also still her brother.

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

It still bothers me to this day that Sadie Sink did not get an Emmy nomination for this season

Alex

they guy protecting will johnathan and mike turned into john wick😭 bro soloed everyone with just a pistol and also was the government just gonna kill a bunch of kids 😂

Mister Lou

I anticipated this SO much! that I had to re-visit S4E3 again B4 watching this!

Erinn

To be fair, it did pretty well in the 80s too!

Chris

wait til yall get to 7,8 and 9 oooouuuuuuu they so firee!!

Chris

if u re watch episode 1 its the song max was listening to at school

Anthony

this episode is isane but the best is still to come

Francesco Musetti

One down, one to go 😌 i also thought this was the best episode, until i saw the Finale 👀 you guys are not ready. Plus, i think we all agree when i say Max is the real main character of this season, and she absolutely NAILED IT. Absolutely amazing performance.

Justin Cross

Fun fact! The man that is playing Victor Creel in the prison, IS the same actor that plays Freddy Krueger!!!.. That's how much inspiration Freddy has had on this season. That they got Robert England (Freddy himself) to play Victor.

Kernaisha Gaines

Ooooh maybe that’s why will was able to hold on so long….he had his song with sentimental value

Rg Bahas

If you think this was episode oh my gosh wait till the other episodes also❤️

Amaury

Shout out Robin the MVP!!😭🙏🏼 and Max’s performance this season is phenomenal!

Amaury

Steve has such a closer relationship with the kids (not really kids anymore😭) it’s so nice to see, you can tell he cares for them as much as he says he hates being the babysitter, he loves that role

Neville L

Agreed! Out of every character, I would say the only one who gets as much focus as Max is El; and El isn't even in this episode, whereas Max is in every episode of S4. *edit: out of the kids/teens, anyway. Hopper and Joyce are the other primary storyline this season

SV1976

Yes when Hopper goes into the tunnel in S2 you hear the clock chime.

Gem Read

I feel so bad for those cops, they really tried to protect the kids :(

TyphlosionGang

I remember Kate Bush’s song on the charts before I watched Stranger Things and it actually made me start the series because I love that song. My first encounter with the song was for the Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker Wrestlemania promo and have loved it ever since.

Sadie is a phenomenal actor. When she was running I felt her want to live and fight. Sadie was MVP this season
