I really love the journey Lucas goes through this season, like exploring who he is, and what does he want to do, and shout out to Lucas for not snitching on his friends!!! I also noticed some people said he betrayed his friends but he didn’t, he just wanted to be popular, and his own friends didn’t show up to his game. Trust me each episode y’all gonna love ❤️ Lucas even more

Just to pick up on Vince informing about Freddy at the end, so this is SO heavily inspired by Freddy, that if you notice, Vecna pulls these people into a "trance" or like a "dreamscape" Nightmare... and even the fact that he has a long clawed hand... LOTS of Freddy inspiration went into Vecna in Stranger Things. Also, you guys HAVE to watch the Nightmare on Elm Street films with Freddy now that she hasn't seen them! lol

I came to make the same comment. The opening scene on S4E1 of papa is a flashback of him at home getting ready for work & then it goes to the Lab. Thanks for making it a point to correct that false info they were told! Haha

It’s so hard to wait for each episode!!! This season is EPIC! I love watching your reactions! Also David Harbour had to lose a lot of weight for his role S4. It was a good 80 lbs I think. He talks about it in an interview, he had just finished filming black widow where he had to gain weight and then went on this crazy diet and workout routine to lose it all. & then he had to gain it all back because he got the role to play Santa in Violent Night, you should definitely check out that movie at some point he does a great job. I think there should be a poll about dropping ep 4 before Saturday! 😂😂 it’s great watching how hyped you guys are getting especially since the amazeballs factor just keeps going higher every episode. 7,8, and 9 are off the chain. I’m glad you like that they are long. Ep 9 is 2 hours and 19 minutes of screen time! And worth every minute!

Oh! Lots of folks don't really notice exactly what Hopper did with that chain, but what he was doing was bracing it against the railroad tracks and having the other prisoner hit it hard enough to turn the circle around his ankle into an oval. An oval that he could slip off his heel. Of course, his ankle was injured in the process, but not broken (thank goodness!)

Whoever said that the first scene with Papa takes place in the present was wrong. That first scene was the past. You’re supposed to think he’s alive, only for them to then show the date and realize that you’re seeing a flashback. The clothes he puts on at the beginning are the same ones he’s wearing when he walks into the lab to talk to 10. The entire opening sequence is all flashback.

The one thing I don't like about this episode is the treatment of El. Like, she's what, 14, maybe 15? They took her in cuffs and questioned and interigated her without a legal guardian or lawyer? Like I get it's the 80s, but would that make none of that imissable in court?

You’re completely right. None of it would be. You can’t mirandize a minor even today lol. That police station would have gotten sued out of existence with what they did. Plus Jonathon could have assumed her legal guardian being her older brother with her parents out of town. I was yelling at the screen the whole time. 😂

i didnt want to comment about el on the last reaction so it wasnt spoiled for you but now you know that the reason she didnt defend herself against the bullies was because dr owens relocated them to california to keep her safe and hidden from the government that's trying to find and kill her. At the end of S1 El is pronounced "dead" in the government files. At the end of season 2, Dr. Owens gives Hopper the birth certificate with El's new name as "Jane Hopper" and all throughout S3 she's still in hiding in the cabin. The only people who know about El are her friends/family and then Dr. Owens and his team. Once the whole flayed monster situation happened, they tried to frame it as a 'mall fire' but the government was onto the fact that El was still alive and they thought she was responsible for all of this. So they relocated the Byers and she basically had to do anything she could to not draw attention to herself so the government doesn't pick up where she is. She dealt with months of being bullied and had to silently take it and pretend everything was okay (and she also wanted Mike to not worry about her because we all know Mike would wreak havoc if he found out what was happening haha). Honestly I applaud her for going that long before snapping and fighting back because she literally just lost her dad, and she had to move away from her boyfriend and her only friends. She was alone in most her classes and she was getting verbally and physically assaulted almost every day :( its heartbreaking tbh

Hope you guys are doing well!! For episode 4 if no one has said it yet, PLEASE pay attention to the lyrics of the song that’s going to play in that episode too. It adds so much more emotion and sense as you watch what’s happening 🤍

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it but Vecna’s look is almost all practical except for the moving vines. The actor playing that part has to sit through around 8 hours of make-up before any day of shooting. 👀
