What I loved the most about this special is that it pays homage to a lot of monochrome horror/suspense films that many have enjoyed in their youth. Horror isn’t really my genre, but my favorite “horror-themed” movie continues to be Young Frankenstein. This movie was directed by longtime composer Michael Giacchino. In case you don’t know who he is, he’s the man responsible for composing scores for a number of hit movies such as The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Star Trek Into Darkness, Coco, and Rogue One. As for the MCU, he previously composed for Doctor Strange 2016, the MCU Spider-Man trilogy, and Thor: Love and Thunder. He even put together the opening anthem we’ve been hearing since Doctor Strange. And yes, he worked on the score for this movie as well. Growing up, Michael and his brother Anthony would make Regular 8 and Super 8 home movies together with their family and friends. He even went to film school at one point. So even though this is his big directorial debut for a movie, he already had experience of working behind the camera. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige approached Michael and asked if he’d like to direct a project. Michael responded saying that he liked fringe characters. He liked the ones that were off the beaten path because there are a lot of interesting things to do with them. He happened to have grown up reading the Werewolf by Night comics as well. So this project was definitely right up his alley. Oh and the bearded guy didn’t have an Irish accent. It was Scottish, but I understand the confusion.

Elsa Bloodstone is part of the midnight sons team along with iron heart, doctor strange, scarlet witch, moon night plus more Idk how they’re going to do it in the mcu but I’m assuming that’s the route they’re taking with this. Great reaction!!

Happy new year guys! This Special Presentation was great. As a latino, Gael Garcia Bernal playing the werewolf and a character in the MCU is awesome! Love your Reaction!

In the comics wearwolf by night was introduced by fighting moonknight, which will be interesting if there's ever a teammate up between the two in some fashion because MK protects night traveller's and Jack Russell only hunts at night 🌙

I loved Man-Thing aka Ted! One of the best things MCU has come out since Endgame

Happy New Years! Loved your reaction and I'm glad you enjoyed it! He will join the Midnight Sons down the road, Marvel is already working on a Blade movie and casting for Ghost Rider, so that the 3 of them can join Doctor Strange and The Scarlet Witch as part of that group which deals with supernatural threats to the MCU. I was worried on how thwy were going to do Man Thing (yes, that's what he's called) but starting him off in black and white was perfect and at the end when you see him, his texture is very similar to Groot's, just like Vince mentioned, and the way they made his power work is very clean, so I liked it. They did a much better job with him than with She Hulk!

Happy new year! It was very good. Thanks

Yea it is 😂. They even reference the avengers in the literal beginning of the movie

Fun fact: Since you mentioned Gael Garcia Bernal's makeup reminding you of the ride from Coco, he was the voice of Hector in Coco :)

Werewolf By Night was a classic Marvel comic book in the 1970s, when Marvel had a lot of monster titles like Frankenstein, Tomb of Dracula, Son of Satan (now called Hellstorm), Ghost Rider and, of course, Swamp Thing, who you just saw. Werewolf By Night included the first series appearance of Moon Knight, as well as featuring other Marvel heroes.
