You two are lucky. This special was announced three years ago during Disney Investor Day 2020, and it wasn’t until just over a year ago when we were finally able to watch it. Now you’re not only catching up, but the timing of this reaction couldn’t be better. Infinity War and Endgame were filmed back to back. Production on this special and Volume 3 was done in a similar manner. Kevin Feige said that he and his fellow Marvel Studios staff always wanted to create a holiday special, but they didn’t have the right platform to put it on until Disney Plus rolled in. James Gunn specifically chose Drax and Mantis to have the most focus in this special, because he felt they were sidelined in their last three film appearances which were Infinity War, Endgame, and Love and Thunder. Mantis’ parentage was originally from a deleted scene in Volume 2. It happened during Yondu’s funeral. While Kraglin was teaching Star-Lord how to use the Zune that Yondu left as a parting gift, Mantis confided in Drax that Ego was also her father. Right off the bat, a lot of things happened offscreen after the Guardians parted ways with Thor and Korg. Nebula pretty much confirmed that the Collector is still alive. After Thanos left Knowhere in flames, we were led to believe that he killed him when he got the reality stone. However, it looks like both Knowhere and the Collector somehow managed to survive. I’m guessing they were able to afford it by answering all those distress calls regarding Gorr the God Butcher. Cosmo was also part of the Collector’s collection. When the Guardians purchased Knowhere, they released Cosmo and welcomed her to the team. As for Young Adult Groot, or Swoll Groot, James said that he was getting bigger both upward and outward. He also said that he has a different and stockier physiology as well as a more outgoing personality than the first Groot. My guess is that Groot must have been inspired by Thor’s workout routine. My favorite funny moments were bulletproof Drax, Rocket lunging at Kevin, and Bucky’s arm. Also, Fictionaldarling pointed out that Peter might not be the most rational among the Avengers but he definitely is the most rational among the Guardians. He has to be especially with Gamora gone. Even Nebula respects him as a leader. My favorite heartfelt moments were Peter’s reaction to the winter wonderland, Groot getting a Game Boy as a present, and Peter realizing that he still had family by blood. I also gotta talk about the music. I’m so glad we got more unique holiday songs in this special. The only track I was already familiar with was Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses which is what played in the night club. The first time I heard that song was in Shrek the Halls. While I liked the beat from the song we opened the special with, I personally liked the lyrics in the second song a lot more. There’s also a big change in ambience between the two. The crowd wasn’t into the first song, but when Kevin joined in they clearly got a standing ovation. By the way, Kevin has a band with his older brother Michael. They’re simply called the Bacon Brothers. You’re almost there, guys. We’ve been on this crazy journey with the Guardians of the Galaxy for nearly a decade. In your case, it’s only been 7 months since you met them. The good and sad news about making it this far is that you’re almost at their third and final adventure. Until then folks, the Guardians of the Galaxy demand your silence.

They’ll watch Werewolf by Night. They just wanted to get to the movies sooner. If anything though, I would advise they skip Secret Invasion. Even She-Hulk was way better than that show.

Hey guys, next one up is ant-man quantumania but given the whole news recently idk if that movie might be irrelevant now, cause I think that whole movie revolves around the villain which was supposed to be the next big villain of the MCU, so idk what everyone else thinks, but I say skip and just go ahead with GOTG3. And i’m not saying that because I thought the movie was bad, because I’m actually one of the few who liked this movie, I’m not saying it was good just saying I enjoyed it 😂

You should skip everything else and go straight to Guardians 3, so that you can truly feel it. This prepared you perfectly for it and nothing from the other projects directly imoacts Guardians 3, so you should go straight into it and then back up to whatever projects you skipped.

Yeah I hate to say it because Im not on the bitch about Marvel train but Secret Invsion was a massive let down. I hate that Emilia Clark was wasted in that role. Other than the Maria Hill and Rodey thing I'd bet they recon and disgard that whole mess.

I think the best case scenario is that Vince takes one for the team by watching it in his own time. I’m definitely not saying he needs to react to it because it could bore him, but he can watch it and summarize it to Shoshana later on.
