I think Hopper has no choice in hiding Eleven and keeping everything from last season a secret. She was being hunted by some very dangerous people last season. People who were willing to kill anyone just to get her back. But I do think it’s messed up that Barb’s parents still do not have closure. That’s sad. I just don’t know how they would even explain her death to them? Would they even believe it?

The second season doesn’t take place too long after the first , it’s just the kids grow up so much in between shooting they have no choice but to continue. But it’s only about a couple months later maybe a year

Yah cant quite just tell barbs parents what happened. Terrible situation for everyone involved but you tell them and the gov kills em and they prob dont believe you anyway.

Don’t discredit Hoppers decision to hide El, he is doing it for her protection. & as far as everyone in the group keeping their mouths shut about everything & about Barb’s death is because they have no choice. Literally everyone that was involved could be in danger for talking about it. You guys will understand as you continue watching.
