It's been really fun rewatching season 1 of Stranger Things with yall! I love this show, but man season 1 is even better than I remember. Your reactions made it THAT much better. I can't wait for yall to dive into the later seasons and see the rest of this series and the growth of these characters. It gets CRAZY!

The thing Hopper left the food inside at the end is called a ranger box. In games and shows they are used in the wilderness for emergencies. Rangers leave food and supplies like cloths inside, usually incase someone gets lost. Irl though I feel it would become bear food quick. Unless they expect someone to break into the locked container.

Steve’s character growth is by far my all time favorite!!!! You will come to realize that and I can’t wait to see your reaction for it along the way. Fun fact: He originally wasn’t supposed to survive in season 1 but Joe Keery (Steve) changed the Duffer Brothers mind because of his character's trajectory and impacting the Stranger Things' narrative, so they decided not to kill him off. Also It was originally supposed to be Jonathan’s dad who comes in and fights the demogorgon with the bat. I have many favorite characters that I put in age categories. Adults obviously Hopper & Joyce, teens Steve & Nancy & the kids El & Dustin.

Fun start to a hopefully epic journey. Noticing a lot of weird takes regarding Steve up until this point. He wasn’t evil & didn’t really need “redeeming” like so many say. He’s a teenager who wasn’t ‘perfect’ in his dealings with others the entire time - like everyone else. He didn’t mistreat the girl while they were together. He was searching for her & trying to ensure she was alright while his friends were trying to humiliate him about it (which he promptly shut down). He, quite literally, SAW (with his own eyes) his supposed girlfriend who had cut off communication with no explanation - basically cuddling with another dude in her bedroom on her bed under a cover. It wasn’t what he thought, but how do any of y’all fault him for seeing precisely what he saw? He got pissed at her & let his friends ‘attack’ an ex-girlfriend he thought was cheating on him. He wrongly attacked Jonathan (when he spoke about his family), yet again - he was going after a dude that was helping his girl cheat on him. AND he saved the day even tho goofy Nancy had a gun aimed at his head a few moments earlier. I’m just saying - with all the “STRANGER THINGS” going on with all these stranger characters in this strange town. . .somehow, everyone else is just coping with all the strangeness but Steve is a dick? Lol…
