This is in my Top 100 movies of all time. It’s a film that makes you sympathize,on some level, with the serial killer. For the entire film, we are worried that our main hero is going to turn into the very thing that he is trying to destroy. Thank you MRVIDEOTAPE for recommending this film. I was gonna do it eventually, but you beat me to it. ;)

And that first scene with the guy that killed the girl is the EXACT reason I never leave my home without my gun on my hip and one in the chamber ready... She's on the phone and I'd been done pulled my gun from its holster into my lap when he came back, and if he didn't leave right away, put that shit in his face.

I felt like that officer or whatever was taking his time kind of I understand being smart and cautious but laying around in that guys basement crying over your would of been wife is pointless at that moment you can do that later somewhere safe like your own place. And he didn’t break that guys legs like come on.
